Lovely lodge . Perfect for 3 of us for a couple of days . Friends mini break. Only slight problem was it was slightly too warm in the night and the heating ( if that was what it was) was loud when it kept coming on in the night. That is being picky though and it is a beautiful lodge.
Check-in was super easy and on arriving in the room everything was exceptionally clean, tidy and well equipped. Everything we needed was available and the onsite restaurant served good food at very reasonable prices. My only criticism would be that the restaurant was very noisy and the service could have been better (drinks and meals were out of sync and were asked if we had ordered by x3 members of staff). Aside from that, this is a lovely place to stay and only a short walk from the town centre so would definitely stay again
These apartments are lovely and clean and very well thought out, fully equipped there was nothing that we needed during our entire stay that we didn't have. Nice 10-15 minute walk into Kendal. The staff are all lovely and can't do enough for you. We have stayed here several times over the past few years and the experience us always a good one.
Charming pub rooms near Kendal center however the room was much smaller than on the photos, the sofa was stained, the sound proofing with neighbours wasn't good, the bed mattress was out of service leading to back pain the next morning, the bathroom/bathtub in the attic does not have sufficient head room, and for ÂŁ132 a night the breakfast wasn't included!
We stayed for one night in a snug, myself, husband and 2 children (age11&13) it was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. After checking in they advised us if we wanted to eat in the restaurant it was best to book which we did, if we hadn't I don't think we would have got a table as it was very busy. The food and drinks in the pub are nice and I found it good value for money.
The size of the sung was bigger that expected nice little kitchenette/living area and with its wooden staircase up to the main bedroom and bathroom made it 'quirky' the beds were comfortable but although the bath was nice but I would preferer to have a shower.
I would stay here again
Lovely stay but bed needs a new mattress. However as advised by a member of staff they don't sleep in the beds so they would'nt know but now it has been reported, i'm sure the next visitors will have a nice new mattress.
Property and staff were very nice. Be aware of spiral staircases in snug units. Might be a little difficult for some people. Otherwise beautiful property. Staff was excellent and Sunday night buffet was great. Like a home cooked meal.
Very nice. Staff friendly and Sunday night buffet was excellent. Snug had spiral staircase to bed and bathroom. Might be a little tight for some people. Fine for me.
Lovely accommodation very clean, spacious and modern. Booked it for one night but wished we had booked it for more. A hit with both teenager and 8 year old. Very relaxing and only a short walk into the town centre.
The Snug was incredibly cute and cosy. Plenty of space for four friends (although the bath tub is in the bedroom!)
If you are tall you might struggle a bit.
Would defo return
We stayed in Snug 1 for 1 night with our 2 children. Room was excellent, kids were amazed from moment walked in, loved the wooden bunks and stairs. Very comfortable beds. Nice big tv, toaster, kettle etc. Jug of milk was very nice for tea etc. Only downside was not having a shower, nice bath but shower would have been more practical for cleaning the kids quickly after days in the mud.
As i am a very light sleeper and the walls between the bedrooms are thin, you can hear a lot from the room next door when they arrived at 2am from there night out.
