Gharilma V â Santa Lucija Holiday Home
Situated in an elevated location, accessed via a track road, this villa boasts stunning views over the Island of Gozo from your pool terrace. Situated just a ten minute drive to the Capital town of Victoria, which offers many shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, the farmhouse enjoys a quiet and secluded atmosphere overlooking the towns and villages below, and is a perfect choice for a relaxing peaceful holiday.
Steps lead down to the villa, which is typically Gozitan in design, with traditional furnishings and plenty of rustic charm as well as a characteristic narrow Gozitan spiral staircase to reach the master bedroom.
Outside there is plenty of room for sun bathing on the spacious terrace and there is the opportunity to dine outdoors beside the private pool with those eye catching views in the background. Due to the design of this property it features a typical Gozo unprotected style staircase. We therefore ask that you take extra care when accessing these areas and ensure children are supervised.
The house has fans and air conditioning in the bedrooms, for both cold air and heat. The air conditioning units are operated using one and two euro coins.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The villa, pool and outdoor area are fantastic, with plenty of space for the family to chill out and enjoy time together. The owners provided all the information we needed with a handy app. The staff were friendly and helpful, as well as respectful of our privacy. Highly recommend the owners, Fanal Homes .
WiFi and a/c work well.
The views from the villa are absolutely amazing.
The roads around Gozo are quite bumpy and narrow at parts, so this is something to consider if you hire a vehicle.
I would highly recommend this villa and would love the opportunity to stay here again.
We didnât expect hot weather, it being January, but after 5 days when the wind dropped, the sun was hot.
The accommodation was cool inside, but with the wood burning stove on and a heater, it got really cosy for the evenings. It was very private and quiet and peaceful for us, only hearing farm machinery working locally. By the time we left, we had settled there and would happily have stayed.!
A car is needed for this property..it has fantastic views from a hillside, is south east facing so gets all day sun. It is set in rural countryside but the villages of Santa Lucija and Kercem are minutes away which have smaller food stores. Victoria is also very close where we had a much bigger variety of shops, restaurants and larger very well stocked food stores.
It was quiet while we were there..that suits us, but if other visitors want busy, I can imagine it to be full on in summer with a bit of congestion in the town.
We visited all the main sight seeing spots, both independently and on a âhop on hop offâ bus. We also did lots of walking around our accommodation, coastal walks, and did the Comino ferry trip and had a good day walking around the island.
Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
