Pet Friendly Sparrow Pond Coastal Cottage with 3 Bedrooms / 3 Baths

This Sparrow Pond cottage is pet friendly and has a king and 2 queen beds and is a relaxing choice for families that don't want to have adults sleep in twin beds. This cottage is one of the only Sparrow Pond cottages with 3 full bathrooms. Two are en suite and the 3rd off the living room.
There is a gas grill under the house along with a picnic table. We also love napping or reading a book in the glass sunroom. The cottage has free wifi.
Conveniently located in West Beach Village, this cottage is only a 5-minute walk to Kiawah's beautiful beach and community pool. Also a few minutes’ walk to the gorgeous new Cougar Point Golf club house where you can golf, eat breakfast, lunch, have dinner, or get a drink at the sports pub. It is open to the public and fully accessible whether you are golfing or not.
Community Pool!
This cottage allows you access to our community pool - just a short walk away. Pools are limited on Kiawah Island and are often restricted to guests staying through Kiawah Resort. Sparrow Pond Cottages are one of the few places on Kiawah that you can rent directly from the owner with access to a pool. Our community pool is perfect for a cool dip after playing at the beach.
Freshfields Village is just an 8 minute drive or 25 minute bike ride offering many great shopping and eating venues along with great free outdoor concerts and other festivities for all.
Bohicket marina, just a few yards beyond Freshfields, offers even more great eating establishments and great views.
There are so many things to do on Kiawah once you’ve had your time on the beach. Enjoy miles of bike paths that transverse the entire island through coastal forests and marshes but be sure to stop at one of the two Kiawah River observation towers which you can find on any Kiawah map.
We highly recommend a trip to the world famous Ocean Course either for golfing or a drink at sunset on the pub-side porch. The view of the ocean and dunes is the best on the East Coast!

My family had a good stay. Richard is easy to work with & coordinate. Easy to get in on day one. The location to the beach was very convenient and closer than it looks on the map. The place is homey but would be a great spot with some small updates to beds and bathrooms. Also, bring your paper products (tp/paper towels), trash bags, and laundry soap. There is a grill downstairs. We had to swap out the tank but easy to do at Harris Teeter. The grill looks like it is barely on but be careful because he definitely puts out the heat. TV is basic non-HD channels. Plenty of butterfly & bird viewing. Saw a few gators in the pond nearby so watch small kids and pets.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Once you stock the kitchen there is no need to get in your car. Walk to pool, walk to beach, walking paths, biking paths. Quiet and peaceful in the evenings so you can see the stars and hear the ocean. For those who don't care for the activity and noise of commercial beach towns this is for you. Loved our stay here and will definitely come back again!

My family and our two dogs had a fantastic stay at this cottage. The location to the beach (and bonus usage and location to the pool) was perfect. I have been to Kiawah over a dozen times. This cottage is not newly remodeled and shows wear but you will find that all the furniture is comfortable and so are the beds. It is very homey. Also the extra fridge in the sunroom is very handy and keeps beverages extra cold. You just need to know to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and laundry soap. I brought a few small things to Richard‘s attention and he was absolutely excellent at responding.Bike storage underneath is so convenient and there were even two or three beach chairs we could use. There is a baby gate so you can block off the deck stairs and the pups can have free range on the deck. And I LOVE a good outside shower. The only place I showered was outside the entire week. Thanks Richard for a fantastic week on my beloved Kiawah!

Sparrow Pond Can't Be Beat

This is the second Sparrow Pond property we've stayed at. Just like the first, which was under a different owner, we very much enjoyed our time here. The beach is just a short walk away, and the house itself is cozy and comfortable. Would highly recommend!
