Before our stay, I reached out to the property owner to inquire about the available items in the kitchen, as this was an integral part of our stay and I received no answer. Upon check in, I was pleased that the floor was nice and clean, and the sheets and towels were as well - good cleaning crew!In the morning after our first night, we discovered what we call a B52- a 3" flying cockroach IN the bed. It was discovered that the sliding glass door and the screen both do not stay shut, they roll open. Additionally, a screen is missing from the bedroom. We had to wedge things into the lanai screen to keep it from opening and one night our inventions failed and the screen rolled open - we were inundated with mosquitoes. This property owner is vocal about how to reduce pests, saying not to bring cardboard into the condo. Intrigued by the "creepy upstairs", we peered in to discover a whole room with a bed and lots of cardboard boxes upstairs, perhaps where these pests are coming from/living? Another reason for booking was the washer, however the first load came out smelling like mold despite being removed promptly and upon looking the washer has mold inside. The dryer is vented to a kitchen cabinet where using it left us coughing and the wooden drying racks out on the lanai were falling down. The microwave stopped working. There was not enough toilet paper. Hot tub wasn't working. The view was great but we paid too much to have these avoidable issues :(
