Koko’s Cabana- Walk to Everything! Beach, Shopping, Restaurants, Mini Golf

Koko’s Cabana is a cozy 3 bedroom designer Cottage Oceanside in popular Kill Devil Hills and is only about 350 steps to the 1st Street beach access. 1 and 1/2 bath indoors and an outdoor shower and toilet. Wonderful screened in back deck is perfect for hanging out, listening to the waves and has become a guest favorite. Dog Friendly! Features a large fenced-in lighted backyard with fire pit, Beach Cart, umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, bikes, beach toys all included. All you need is your swimsuit and flip flops.

I can’t say enough good things about this property! It was exactly as described. It’s in a great location with it being a short walk to the beach & close to restaurants & shopping. The place was incredibly clean & the king bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in a rental. When I had a question for the host he was very prompt in responding. But the best part for us was that it was pet friendly & it had a nice sized fenced in back yard. We were very pleased with our stay & look forward to staying there again!

Very clean. The location was perfect .3 mile walk to the beach that was it. Neighborhood was great to walk dogs as well. Back yard was fabulous for the dogs. Enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the morning drinking coffee and at night drinking a glass of wine and listening to the waves on the beach. Sunrise view was spectacular see photo below.

We enjoyed our stay at Koko's Cabana. It was very clean when we arrived, and easy to access. The owner gave us very detailed information about the place before we arrived and was very easy to communicate with. It is very close to the beach, just a short walk. It is small but very comfortable, and we really enjoyed the screened in porch area.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The location is ideal, just steps from the beach and close to local attractions. The home was spotless and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The host was thoughtful and provided a helpful list of things to do and recommended restaurants, which made exploring the area so easy. We would definitely book this rental again!

Definitely coming back!

We absolutely enjoyed out stay at Koco's Cabana! It had absolutely everything we needed for the kitchen, the beach, you name it - it was there. I loved the bunk room - my daughter stayed in there and she had plenty of room obv. My son stayed in the second bedroom and said the bed was very comfortable. My husband and I were in the master and the bed was so comfortable. So many great recommendations in the blue binder for eating and activity. We really used that binder for ideas and everything was spot on! The only and I mean only thing that would have made things easier would be a second shower in the master instead of just a 1/2 bath. That made it a little complicated having to share a shower, but there is one downstairs to wash off from the beach and my husband used that everyday LOL! I am sure the owner wishes there was another shower also. It's just not possible. But hey - we made it work and didn't let that get in our way. We truly enjoyed this space and I have already sent the info to 2 of my friends that were asking. We loved the location as well - we walked to and from the beach everyday - it's a few blocks away, so easy. We drove everywhere else. Thank you to the owners for keeping such a great vacation home!! Thank you for sharing it also. We plan to come back!!

Close to everything! Beach, shops, dining, Wright brothers, sand dunes. Perfect for my family and dogs to stay at with plenty of room and the extra beach gear they provided came in handy! We would stay here again the next time we visit OBX!

OBX Kill Devil Hills

We looked at several properties over a period of more than a week before deciding on KOKO Cabana. Let me tell you it was a fantastic place to stay. Close to a 5 minute walk to the beach made seeing the early morning sunrise easy to catch. The listing was extremely accurate in every way. I did reach out to the leasing agent once before arrival and once after. Very quick response both times. A detailed welcome letter spelled out all the rules and gave suggestions on local places to visit. The house was stocked well with immediate and necessary items. Very clean and dog friendly. This property will be at the top of our list for our next visit to the Outer Banks, Kill Devil Hills area!

Excellent location for beach access. Every thing was walking distance and the property literally has all necessities for the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the backyard for the dogs. Great location. Very complimentary on check in/out times in off season. The back porch was my favorite space.One suggestion

Great Pet-friendly getaway

Enjoyed my stay! The house was very clean and the location was great - very close to the beach and close to grocery stores and other shops. I brought my pup and found the house to be very pet-friendly since it has a securely fenced backyard as well as a gate on the front deck.

Beachy clean

Clean & comfortable space. Loved the screened-in porch and variety of seating options. Bed in primary bedroom was very comfortable (not our typical experience in rentals) and our kiddo loved the bunk beds. House was the perfect size for our family of 3 (plus dog). Great to have a fenced in yard for the pup! We also loved the outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach. Clint was quick to respond to our questions. Overall, a great experience.

Great OBX house/ Super clean & cute!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property! Property manager was super responsive and gave us great restaurant recommendations! House was super clean and the beds were real comfy. The screened in back porch was a great place for family dinners and afternoon naps. We would totally stay at this property again!
