The indoor heated pool was a favorite for my kids. The hot tub was a favorite for my husband and myself! We did let the front desk know that we saw roaches in our room at checkout!

Rooms could have been cleaned better

The floors in our hotel room were filthy. So filthy they turned our feet black when we walked barefoot. When I checked under the beds to see if I left anything behind there were a pair of dirty children's underwear under one bed and a dirty sock under the other bed. Neither belonged to us because we were not traveling with children. Our trash was never taken out and we never got clean towels.

We had water pooling in the room and soaking the carpet. We tried to resolve several times with the front desk. A bag of towels was dropped off and we had to clean ourselves. The carpet was soaked and smelt like mildew by the end of the day. Don’t stay here unless you want your mold allergies to act up.

Walking into the room, it just didn’t feel the cleanest. Some of the baseboards were dirty. The beds were fairly comfortable, but the room felt muggy/damp. The last night we stayed, the half of the room closest to the window flooded due to the tropical storm, but we were also on the 4th floor. The room just felt very dated and not very clean.

This has the tel-tell signs of a struggling business. The poor service started with the manager being unwilling to help us avoid an upcoming storm. Housekeeping didn't take care of our room. Other than that, little things that added up: poor toilet paper, no complimentary breakfast, ect. Overall, an very underwhelming experience, especially for the price we paid.

Our room had a view of the ocean and a balcony which we totally enjoyed. It also had a buffet breakfast that was reasonable price. We also enjoyed the Tiki bar that had a good selection of drinks. My only complaint was the Tiki food menu was more towards tropical theme and I wish it had a couple of bar foods like pretzel bites or mozzarella sticks.
