The check-in staff and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were a decent size. The website noted there was a gym and a hot tub. The gym was being redone and not available and they haven't have a hot tub in months, but never updated the website. Also, we were awaken three times one night by the fire alarm. There was no fire, but we were never communicated to and I had to repeatedly call the front desk to find out that someone was smoking in their room. Also, there is no security from the car park into the hotel and kids were fighting in the alley, came into the hotel and were fighting in the hotel. There were also fights and people screaming in the car park. I did not really feel safe and the hotel needs to add badge access for guests from the car park to prevent others from entering the hotel.

The carpet was pulled up in the hallway- nothing was even mentioned to us upon checking in. Got to the room and it was not like it looked in the Expedia photos. Bathtub was dirty. Went to complain and there were no other rooms available and they couldn’t do anything to help us until the morning so we were stuck there. The room was stuffy, they did give is a fan. Please see photos.

Fitness center was closed. That was the reason I booked here. Jetted tub did not work. That was the second reason I booked here. No compensation was given even when I asked if they could include a continental (not hot) breakfast.

We had no heat the first night and almost the 2nd night. Manager told staff to tell us 1/2 the building was out. 2nd day maintenance guy came to our room to look at it and said it had been turned off and the staff should have known to look at it the night before or at least offer a portable heater. Manager hid behind his staff. He should have come to talk to us. Poor management!!

Great little hotel in the middle of everything. Nightly music in the Danny Mann bar. Good food and service. Older hotel with many turns in the hallways and rooms are small compared to newer hotels.

Quaint- met my needs.

Can tell the bathroom toilet hasn't been scrubbed well in a while, can see black mold under rim. Walk to train station is at least 15 minutes. Good location to bars and shops. Older hotel spread over multiple buildings so it's a bit like a maze to get through, lots of up and down small flights of stairs.

Parking for the hotel itself is difficult to find, as access is behind it through another paid lot and a narrow, winding alley. We simply paid rather than risk getting stuck in a tight corner. Traffic is heavy in the area, but lots of walkability for eats, bars, ice cream, music, shopping, coffee... very close to the National Park! Staff were very polite, and the bar/restaurant below was isolated enough from our room on the second floor, that we had no issues with noise. Minor quibble with the ensure bathroom: everything is a bit dated. The tub and shower are narrow and difficult to stand in comfortably (would be unsafe for older folks). Overall, very satisfied and would recommend.
