Perfect location. Private beach and dock. Kitchen is WELL stocked. BBQ was accessible in the winter. Beds are comfortable. Whole unit was very clean. My clorox wipes didn't look dirty when I did my usual wipe down. We will definitely stay here again.
Over all the home was a good setup but would have been nice to have better instructions for things and maybe a folder of information about things to do in the area - we had never been to Tahoe. Area things to do and see are always nice for guests.
We were so looking forward to our family trip for the last two months. We stayed in touch with Lake Tahoe Accommodations through VRBO through the process. When I received my initial instructions for our day of arrival, they said we could request an early checkin and they would accommodate if possible. On our day of checkin, we were told we could not check in early, which was fine and we made arrangement to shop in Reno before arriving. At 12:32 we were notified they were closing early and we could pick up our key in the mailbox. No other instructions left. At this point it was too late to change our plans to arrive early.
When we arrived, we found the home less than clean and the floors not even swept, so I doubt they were clean. As we begin to plan for our first evening, we pulled out dishes that were dirty, silverware that was dirty and cooking utensils dirty.
Issues included:
Cleanliness - we found dirty dishes and utensils put up in the drawers and the cabinets and the house not cleaned very well
Responsiveness - We tried many times to connect with Lake Tahoe Accomodations and were never able to connect with the Property Management company consistently. When I messaged online, I received responses and was then told by the property management company that they were the leasing side not management - never received any welcome packet with any instructions so had to follow up with questions on a regular basis.
Heating/ cooling - was an issue as it was a two story. It was either extremely cold or warm and we couldn't seem to control it
Dryer - We had trouble with the dryer and requested three or four times to have it fixed and never had anyone stop by although it was promised daily and Advertised 24/7 for repairs.
