Commanding wonderful sea views, tucked away on the edge of the village you will find the tranquility of Peacehaven. The well equipped and comfortable two bedroom bungalow set in mature well maintained gardens enveloped by magnificent views sweeping across the valley, capturing the Avon Estuary, Bantham Beach, Burgh Island and out to sea. An ideal retreat to explore the finest beaches and coastal footpaths of the South Hams, many within walking distance. The nearby picturesque towns of Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth offer an array of shops and low key attractions. Thurlestone is a popular village with pretty thatched cottages, an old church and post office. The Village Inn partially constructed from a stricken armada vessel draws an eclectic mix of local characters and visitors eager to sample the local ales. The village boasts one of the best hotels in Devon offering a restaurant, health spa and a 9 hole golf course open to non residents and a superb 18 hole links course.
The property is accessed from the private car-park via a short path. Entry may be made from both aspects.

We had a wonderful time at this lovely property that was cosy, comfortable and peaceful. Communication and instructions from the owner were excellent and we found everything we needed and more in the property. It’s a wonderful location with beautiful Bantham beach so close by. This is an extremely comfortable and well equipped property, one of the best we’ve stayed in and we are quite fussy! The view is beautiful, the kitchen is very well equipped, we cooked most evenings and there was nothing we missed. The beds are comfortable and linen was of high quality. The weather was very wet and there was a couple of days we just watched Netflix and drank wine with the log burner going, but we’re very comfortable and happy doing so. A short walk down to a lovely little beach and plenty more around. Great communication from host Judy. Thank you :-)

This is a well equipped, comfortable property with stunning views. Everything you could possibly need for a stay is provided and was spotlessly clean. The owner sent very clear instructions to find the house and how to use everything and was available to contact should we have needed anything. Would thoroughly recommend and hope we get to return one day.

Lovely bungalow, had everything we could have wanted for a comfortable stay. Extremely comfortable bed with lovely pillows. Nice enclosed garden for the dog to run around in. Very well equipped kitchen. Modern bathroom with large shower.

Very peaceful stay

We had a lovely time. So quiet and relaxing. Superb owner always an email away to answer any questions we had. Dog safe garden (for our small dog) and a well equiped kitchen. We had a lovely stay.

A picture perfect place to stay. The views are simply stunning. This cosy costal getaway looks exactly as the photos. Just a short walk away you'll find the Village Inn which is worth visiting for food and/or a couple of drinks. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep to explore and the nearest beach is a 20 minute walk away. Bigbury, Bantham and Yarmer we're our favourites. Communication with the host was great. We would recommend.

Incredible views and cosy stay

Lovely bungalow with the most incredible view of Burgh Island and Bantham Bay. Fantastic walk across the fields and cliffs to get down to the beach. We stayed in Feb and had the beach to ourselves at times. Everything you could possibly need in the house, lovely log burner and well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds and modern, clean bathroom. Highly recommend.
