Villa Anemona, newly built in 2017, invites you in the pure beauty of Western Crete for a unique vacation experience in absolute tranquility and harmony with nature. It is located in one of the most unspoiled parts of Crete in a striking position just 200 m from the sea.
Here you can enjoy the most stunning sunsets in absolute privacy while relaxing in the spacious outdoor areas.
The villa is surrounded with big terraces, barbecue and dining facilities and large lawn grounds. Ideal spots for entertaining our guests of all ages. Not to forget the luxurious infinity pool for a refreshing bath or just for having fun.
Villa Anemona offers you a luxurious and elegant setting for marveling amazing sea views while enjoying your coffee or a glass of wine in full privacy.
Villa Anemona is a two level building with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedrooms with their own private balconies and one bathroom are located in the upper floor. The fully equipped kitchen, inside and outside dining areas, the second bathroom and the spacious living room with all amenities and services are on the ground floor.
Every room has air condition, television screens and of course WIFI.
We are happy to provide you with a welcome breakfast basket, house wine and raki and other small attentions like bathrobes, bath slippers, shampoo etc.

We would like to inform our guests about the newly updated Climate Resilience Tax by the Greek Government in 2025. Since we meet the category of a 5-star hotel with Villa Anemona, the amount is 15.00 euros per night. We collect the amount for the entire stay in cash upon arrival.

We stayed for 12 days with our 2 older kids in the villa. The location is amazing. Especially the sunsets at dinner are really wonderful and the close and easy access to a breath-taking coast for swimming. A place of pure relaxation

Our stay at Villa Anemona on the beautiful Greek island of Crete – all the way in the peaceful western part – was simply unforgettable.From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed and felt truly cared for. A special thanks to Birgitta, the most attentive and thoughtful host one could wish for – we felt looked after in every way. The lovely welcome package was a perfect start, leaving nothing to be desired.The house itself is a dream – full of charm, comfort, and surrounded by nature. When the wind stops, you can literally hear the silence. And when it does blow, it carries the gentle sound of goats and their bells across the hills – a melody that feels like Crete’s own lullaby.We fell in love with the small, authentic tavernas nearby and the genuine warmth of the people here.

We felt like we’d stepped into a dream!

The villa and its very remote setting are simply stunning. For 10 days we felt like we were the only people on the island, which is exactly the sort of holiday we were looking for. The villa itself is striking - big, bright, clean and in immaculate condition. It’s probably bigger than the two of us needed but it manages to still feel cozy, and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The grounds are also big and beautiful with space to wonder and breath. The views (especially as the sun sets right in front of you each night) really do take your breath away - every direction offers a perfect postcard picture! We spent most days chilling by the pool (not heated) and BBQing anything we could :) It’s worth saying again that this really is a remote location (by our standards). Don’t expect to just pop out to the shop if you forget the milk! There is a mini market about 20 mins drive away with a cash machine, I’d compare it to a Spa shop in the UK - we could get the essentials but it was a shame to not be able to get any quality produce. The closest place for good grocery shopping is Kissamos - there’s a butcher and fish mongers and a big Inka store which has everything! Or stop at Lidl on route from Chania airport. Kissamos was a lovely place to visit and has some nice bars and restaurants (we somehow found one that was showing the Arsenal game - much to my other half’s delight!) We also visited one of the restaurants near the mini market on route to Elafonissi which was a delight. Personally, we had little want or need to leave the villa much during our 10 days. When you find somewhere as stunning as Villa Anemoma you really don’t want to leave! Birgitta, our rep, gave us a warm welcome and was great, always on hand to help if we needed anything. The WiFi isn’t great but it didn’t bother us, just worth mentioning in case you’re looking for somewhere that has good WiFi! Also worth mentioning that the roads are tricky! Tiny, winding mountain roads with very sharp bends and turns, so don’t go too budget on the car hire! And it’s definitely worth it when you get there! All in all it was a dream get away. A perfect haven and a place to just switch off and get away from it all. Can’t wait to go back again!

A heavenly retreat - sunsets, stars … peace and quiet!

This villa is high spec and luxury. The views of the sea, the horizon pool, sunsets and the surrounding hills are so beautiful, it felt like VR! It was as if two of my favourite places in the UK had been fused together - Curbar Edge in the Peak District and Rocky Valley in Cornwall. You will need definitely need to hire a car (and a fairly powerful one) in order to stay here - it is a 1 hour 40 minute drive away from Chania airport. Driving here is not for the faint hearted or for those that suffer with car sickness. Once you are through Kissamos the roads become steep, windy and narrow with little or no barriers to protect you from plummeting down the mountains! We found that the local supermarkets are not that local and not really “super” markets either, more like a small local shop. We stocked up on the way to the villa in Kissamos on a Sunday (when a lot of shops are shut) and it was very expensive and they didn’t have any fresh meat or fish for the BBQ. Recommend going to a large supermarket near Chania airport before driving to the villa. The villa itself is lovely, it has a small indoor kitchen area with half size dishwasher and pretty much everything you need. There is a washing machine and clothes airer which is great and we went back home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! There are bath towels, bath robes, bath slippers, pool towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bars of soap and liquid soap. Outside there are 4 sunloungers and two other seating areas, there is a hammock, a swing chair and a lilo for the pool. The only thing we felt was missing was some parasols/more shade for the recliners/seating area. However, you can lie in the shade on the recliners up to 11am ish (in July) as the sun rises behind the villa but after then if you want shade you have to sit around the outside dining table/BBQ area. One thing to be aware of, that is not mentioned on the website, is that there is another villa, built into the ground, directly in front of you. You can barely see it, or the people in it, unless they go into the grounds of their villa or to their car. However, you are aware that they are there and vice-versa. Loads of good restaurants within 30 mins - check out guest book/ask host for tips of where to go etc. We had a great week and would definitely recommend if you want a laid back, away from it all break with breathtaking views.

Pure Entspannung

Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig! Beginnend bei Birgitta, die sich rührend um unser Wohlergehen gekümmert hat. Wir haben viele Tips für die Umgebung bekommen. Kleine „Probleme“ hat Birgitta sofort gelöst. Lieben Dank nochmal dafür!Die Lage von Villa Anemona ist für Ruhe Suchende herausragend. Die Villa, die direkt davor in den Hügel gebaut ist, nimmt man nicht wahr. Somit immer nur die Frage, im- oder vorm Pool die Sonnenuntergänge genießen. Im Haus ist alles da, was man braucht. Kurzum- Wunderbar!

Wir waren zu viert für 14 Tage in der Villa. Es ist alles genauso wie beschrieben. Das Haus, die Aussicht und die jeden Abend wechselnden Sonnenuntergänge, einfach traumhaft. Birgitta hat uns herzlich empfangen und stand uns in jeder Angelegenheit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Da die Villa sehr abgelegen ist, findet man hier wirklich absolute Ruhe und Erholung. Alles Perfekt

Wir mögen die Ruhe und brauchen keinen Trubel, weshalb wir uns für den Westen von Kreta entschieden haben. Das Haus ist perfekt und grosszügig für vier Personen. Toll eingerichtet mit schönem Pool und Garten mit Aussensitz und Grill. Brigitta ist eine sehr tolle Gastgeberin und reagiert sehr schnell auf Fragen und hat Tips für alle Belange. Für uns ein perfekter Urlaub. Ein Auto ist notwendig, dann kommt man zu den leckeren Tavernen der Umgebung. Vielen Dank für die erholsame Woche!

Erholsame Auszeit

Wir waren zu viert für eine Woche in der Villa Anemona. Die Villa ist wunderschön gelegen mit freiem Blick aufs Meer. Der Ausblick, auch während des Schwimmens im Pool, ist einfach unglaublich. Die Kommunikation mit Birgitta lief problemlos - kurze Antwortzeiten und immer sehr herzlich. Bei der Anreise stand schon einiges für uns bereit, so dass wir für den ersten Morgen schon gut versorgt waren. Die Villa ist sehr gut ausgestattet (sowohl mit Geschirr, als als auch Handtüchern, Föhn, usw.) und überzeugt mit der schönen Einrichtung sofort. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Unsere 7 Tage in der Villa Anemona gingen viel zu schnell vorbei, es war eine traumhafte und erholsame Auszeit, abseits von allem Trubel.

Fantastic house with amazing view

The house is fantastic in a quiet location, nice garden and outdoor area with BBQ and amazing view over the sea from the house and infinity pool. It is lovely sitting by the pool late at night and look at the starry sky. Nearby there are several nice restaurant and only 30 minutes away you find amazing Elafonisi beach.

Petit coin de paradis !

Nous avons séjourné 6 jours à Villa Anemona et 5 jours à Villa Violetta pour la durée de notre séjour en Crêtes. Nous avons concentré notre voyage sur l'Ouest de l'île. Villa Anemona est encore plus belle que sur les photos, le site est parfait pour relaxer la journée ou pour en profiter après une journée de plage. Nous avons adoré la tranquillité de la Villa, elle est isolée, donc très privative. Birgitta est toujours très disponible et aimable, elle nous a conseiller des plages et des Tavernas (les incontournables, Falasarna, Elafonisi). Nous avons également fait le safari jet-ski de Falasarna vers Balos, ce fut une des activités préférées avec nos enfants (20 et 21 ans ). Nous avions planifié ce voyage initialement en mai 2020 mais la Covid a changé nos plans, nous sommes très heureux d'avoir remis ce dernier en 2022, quel coin de paradis !

Wundervolle Villa mit einzigartigem Blick

Wir haben eine Woche in der Villa verbracht. Die Bilder versprechen nicht zu viel. Die Villa einfach nur WOW - sie ist sauber und einsam gelegen. Perfekt um mal richtig abzuschalten. Der Pool ist toll. Der Blick auf das Meer ist einzigartig schön. Unbeschreiblich!!! Die Sonnenuntergänge sind wunderschön. Wir waren zu viert dort 2 Paare und werden bestimmt wieder kommen. Alles Top!!!! Man kann kochen und grillen oder auch mal in die Tavernen ab 10 Minuten Entfernung mit dem Auto einkehren. Birgitta ist super liebenswert und sehr sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns tolle Tipps gegeben. Vielen Dank dafür!

Ein sehr tolles Haus mit wunderbarem Meerblick.

Tolles sauberes Haus in abgeschiedener Lage. Schöne Einrichtung und ein herrlicher Blick auf das Meer und den allabendlichen Sonnenuntergang. Nette persönliche Begrüßung, gute Erreichbarkeit und ständiger Hilfsbereitschaft. Einzig die Darstellung im Internet sollte überarbeitet werden. Abgeschiedenheit ja, aber Alleinlage nein. Der Neubau aus 2021 in der direkten Nachbarschaft war im Vorwege nicht erkennbar.

Wer Abgeschiedenheit liebt, der wird es lieben. Wir waren absolut begeistert. Birgitta ist ein Schatz, unbemerkt und doch immer für Rat und Tat für einen da. Wir können die Villa nur empfehlen.

Eine einsame Insel

Wir waren 10 wunderbare Tage lang Gäste in der Villa Anemona. Wir haben uns sehr erholt und jede Minute dieses tollen Anwesens genossen. Die Lage gibt einem das Gefühl, auf einer einsamen Insel zu sein, keiner stört, es gibt nur die Geräusche der Meeresbrandung zu hören. Herrlich! Man benötigt auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen, da die Entfernungen zum einkaufen ohne Auto nicht machbar sind. Birgitta Kolte ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin, der es immer wichtig ist, das alles passt und man sich wohlfühlt. Dies ist Ihr hervorragend gelungen. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder!

Magnificent view

Super good service, we arrived late at midnight but were really well received. The house has everything we needed for a family of 4. we would love to come back.

Beautiful and perfect place to truly disconnect from the world.

We absolutely loved our stay here in the peace and quiet of the west coast of Crete. A very remote and idillic location, the house is just wonderful. Great facilities and stunning sunset views. Birgitta was super, great communication and welcoming, couldn’t have wished for a more seamless experience.

Besondere Lage

Wer die Einsamkeit (zumindest im Herbst) sucht ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Ein schön arrangiertesHaus in abgeschiedener Lage. Im Herbst weht an der Westküste wohl häufig ein rauher Wind, so dass man Pool und Terrasse nur sehr eingeschränkt nutzen kann (so zumindest bei uns). Das Haus und die Umgebung bieten jedoch ausreichend Möglichkeiten hier eine schöne Zeit zu verbringen. An- und Abreise waren auch zu später Stunde ohne Probleme zu arrangieren.

Perfect Place

Villa Anemona is the perfect place to escape your 9-5 lives. My husband and I loved staying here. Everything from the view, the pool, the sunsets, the solitude, and the villa itself made our visit beyond perfect. Birgitta was a fantastic host. Throughout the booking process she was easy to get in touch with and a great communicator. When we arrived to the villa she provided us with several staple items which were used throughout our stay. The bottle of Raki was delicious! Highly recommend!

The most lovely house and surrounding

We were two couples that were staying at Villa Anemona between 2 and 9 of october. We really like staying in the house it was very comfy, with big doors out to the very big and nice pool and poolarea. Ther were a big table where we had dinner every night.. A wonderful view and sunset. The bedrooms nice with balcony to each bedroom . And two bathrooms also. Every morning the where many sheeps and a shepherd right outside the house. All togetherit i is a very lovely place. I really recommend it. Thank you Birgitta for waiting for us arriving in the middle of the night. Bettan and Gregor Kersti and Stefan
