We booked this property (with Expedia) after reviewing the hotel website. Our decision was solely based on the fact that it had a plus 8 rating and had an indoor pool and HOT TUB.
After checking in, we discovered that the hot tub was out of commission. We asked if we could cancel our stay, as we passed up a hotel that was about $35 less expensive, including breakfast.
The nice young man at the desk was apologetic but said there was nothing he could do. He did not have the authority to make decisions to reverse charges. I asked him to call the hotel manager but he refused. He did send him an email to request that he call me...but, as expected, I heard nothing.
In summary, we spent more money but received less. I guess it's buyer beware...of false advertising. The desk clerk said, "Sir, you booked and received the room and everything else (amenities) are just a bonus. I replied that it was the amenity was the only reason that I booked the room. After 12 hours on the road we booked and paid for a hotel with a hot tub. At very least it should have been noted on their website that the tub was down.
Extremely disappointed...a complete waist of the extra money that we paid to stay here...and be warned...the restaurant is not open either.
