Butterfly Garden is a beautifully designed and spacious villa, where many facilities are provided for guests to enjoy a fabulous and memorable holiday.

There is an impressive entrance as you walk through the double Chinese doors to discover a lovely Lotus pond, surrounded with lush greenery, tropical colourful fish and turtles.

Also an exquisite open-plan, spacious Living room and Dining area, with a large wall mounted flat screen TV with Netflix, YouTube etc. From the Living area, through French double doors, is a garden conversatory, with table and chairs and soft evening lighting. Enjoy a morning coffee or drink at evening time in this wonderful atmosphere.

The Dining area has attractive large teak table seating up to 8 people.

Fully equipped, western-style, Kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, large stand up double fronted fridge and freezer, etc, together with lovely granite worktops. Adjoining the Kitchen is utility room with washing machine, iron, etc.

Four spacious beautiful Bedrooms, all with king size beds, fitted wardrobes, dressing tables, air conditioning, fans and en-suite. All Bathrooms with walk-in showers. The Master Bedroom opens out to the salt water swimming pool, and has its own large bath tub and walk-in shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have private balconies, with table and chairs and fabulous views out to the tropical surrounding scenery. Bedroom 4 is en-suite with its own living room with large sofa and coffee table is located on the ground floor.

All towels and linen provided. The villa is cleaned after every 3 nights, with change of clean bed linen and towels also after every 3 nights. Small bottle of shower gel and shampoo provided for the first night.

Please note: All our cars are insured, with the guest being responsible, and limited, for the first 20,000 Baht of any damage. There is no insurance on mopeds where the guest pays for any damage incurred.

It is the guests' responsibility to ensure that they also have their own comprehensive Travel & Health Insurance, and appropriate driving documentation for Thailand.

All our vehicles will have a full tank of petrol for you. Please ensure that you return the vehicle at the end of your stay with a full tank.

No ‘off-roading’ or driving in harsh terrain. The complimentary car is not to be driven off the island.

Neighbourhood description:

Within only a 5-10 minute drive from the villa there are fabulous Restaurants serving delicious Thai and Western food, coffee shops, 24 hr mini-marts for your daily needs, laundry shops, well reputed health massage shops, taxi services and local travel agencies.

Laem Set beach, a 10 min walk or 3 min drive from Butterfly Garden Villa, is a lovely natural area. It has mangroves, palm trees and sandy beach, retaining a tranquil and peaceful charm. The water is shallow for swimming which can be ideal with small children. It is also not a touristy beach with lots of attractions. This can hold an appeal where will not find crowds of people and hawkers. Enjoy a quiet massage on the beach in front of the clear waters, or a drink at the Thai style bamboo Cool Bar located right on the beach, serving excellent food and drinks. You will also find located near the beach Pole Pole Restaurant which serves breakfast and meals at evening time.

Also next door to here is Centara Villas Resort which opens its doors to non residents and has many facilities to enjoy, including smart restaurants and bars.

Just a 10 min drive away is Lamai Beach. This has a long expansive beach and caters more for tourists with restaurants, bars, water sports and other attractions. There are individual shops offering locally made souvenirs and clothes. When the sun goes down the streets come alive with lights from the night market and variety of restaurants serving excellent Thai and western dishes in the town and on the beach. Thai boxing is also popular and Lamai has its own professional and amateur boxing ring.

Five minutes away by car you have the fishing village of Baan Hua Thanon where fresh fish, fruit and vegetables are sold daily at the local market and also the home of several small local shops, doctors surgery, 24 hour Seven-Eleven grocery shop with ATM and a Chinese Temple.

With the Superstore, Lotus's in Lamai, a 12 min drive away, and 24hr Tesco Express just less than 5 minute drive, your every need is catered for. There is also the popular large food supermarket, Makro, a 10 min drive, where you can also do all your grocery shopping.

Amphoe Ko Samui Stadium, only a 5 min drive away, is home to many popular sports events, where visitors can come to watch the activities. It is located in an attractive area, surrounded by a lake/reservoir where there is a football field, basketball etc and you can also walk around or jog with lots of shade. Also outdoor fitness park with brightly coloured exercise equipment which is free to use.

Nearby to the villa many of the island's main attractions are less than 10 mins drive, which include Namsuang Waterfalls, Crocodile Farm, Elephant trekking, The Grandmother Grandfather Rocks, water sports, Thai cookery class, Thai boxing classes (Muay Thai) and Temples, amongst many others.

The southern part of the island, where the villa is located, remains pretty much unspoiled, especially compared to the north. It still has that rustic charm appeal that the whole of Samui boasted years ago. We are frequently told by guests they find the Thai people in this southern part of the island extremely hospitable, and welcoming. In the north where it is far more crowded and touristy on the island there is not always the opportunity to discover the true warmth and charm of the local people. The beaches on the south also remain pretty much undeveloped, due mainly to the shallow coastline.

If you like to explore you can still find areas where you have the beach to yourself, and never too far away will be a rustic Thai restaurant where you can enjoy true authentic local dishes.
