Comfortable Beach-Front House

Koitiata, Turakina Beach is a small and friendly community only 30 minutes from Wanganui and Marton. The house is located on the beach front with large glass sliding doors that open up on to the huge deck that gives you 180 degree views from Wellington to Mt Taranaki. Close to the campground and across the road from a good children's playground and the main entrance to the beach. Beach has four wheel drive access. Great for bird watching, fishing, four wheel driving along the beach, dirtbikes and quads.

West coast beaches have a lot of character and are constantly changing. Black sand and driftwood abounds but there is still plenty of room to go for walks or do a bit of beachcombing and explore.

Modern facilities including dishwasher and washing machine.

We finally have fibre internet. If you are a returning guest you no longer need to pay for prepay internet.

There are no shops but Turakina Service Station is 10 minutes drive away or head into Wanganui to stock up. The community has a potluck dinner at the hall on the first Saturday of the month. We have a small chest freezer that can be used for longer stays or storing fish bait and fish.

Cell phone coverage is available but can be patchy.

We have recently installed a log burner downstairs. There are other heaters that can be moved around as needed.
Special conditions:
Main living area and kitchen is upstairs. Portacot and Baby gate available. Please let us know before hand. Freestanding fireguard for fire.
Maximum occupancy is 10. There are bed configurations for 8-10 people
with extra mattresses available. . Garage space available for motorbikes/quads and
your 'toys'. Plenty of parking for trailers etc. Let us know ahead of
time.
