Magnolia Cottage - Kuaotunu Holiday Home
Right across the road from Kuaotunu Beach, its stunning blue waters and the giant Magnolia tree in the front yard setting the ideal backdrop to a great escape - Welcome to Magnolia Cottage.
Imagine dinner being served al fresco in the warm summer evening air out on the sundeck. Start and end your sunny, beach adventures off right, from this recently (2021) renovated and welcoming holiday base - now with Wifi!
Magnolia Cottage can sleep up to 4 guests and is furnished with all the essentials for a fuss-free getaway including boogie boards to take with you when you wander over to the beach and a DVD player for those relaxed nights.
If being across the road from the most photographed portion of Kuaotunu Beach wasn't enough, the famous Luke's Kitchen is a short stroll along the beach to the right and the boat ramp just 300m to the left. A playground and tennis court are less than a 5-minute walk along the road towards Kuaotunu Settlement, a busy little tourist spot during the summer months, which has a lovely indoor/outdoor cafe, a grocery store and is home to Kuaotunu Killer Icecreams. The reserve across the road from the settlement is a great spot for families to play and picnic.
For day trips, you'll be just 20-minutes drive from Whitianga township and within an hourâs drive, youâll be able to get to places like Hahei, Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove. Travelling in the opposite direction, find the quaint little town of Coromandel, with Matarangi and Whangapoua nearby and donât forget to check out the magical and secluded New Chums beach!
Look no further for a bright and inviting home away from home - Magnolia Cottage awaits! Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
We arrived around 10pm after travelling all day to get there, and the house had no linen or towels, so we couldnât even shower. We called the number of the host as well as their so called emergency number and got no answer. Had to sleep without linen in quite uncomfortable beds I might add. We finally got them the next day at midday, but on a 2-night stay and at that cost, itâs not acceptable. The living room has no curtains and it overlooks the street so it doesnât feel private at all. The house doesnât have a guide on where to go for breakfast or food or any emergency.
On the bright side the house is as advertised, very comfortable distribution and kitchen, and itâs right in front of the beach.
