Staff were very kind. Free breakfast was nice! They also replenished my towels & left them at my door without me even asking, which was nice. My only complaint was that it could’ve been a little bit cleaner. The bed runner on my bed as well as the carpet had multiple visible stains. The walls were also marked up a bit. However, other than that, everything seemed fairly clean.

We had a very comfortable stay here. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and much larger than we have found elsewhere in Japan. The complimentary breakfast was much appreciated and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location right in Gion.

Very friendly staff with great communication skill. 10 minutes walk to the Yasaka Pagoda photo spot so its convenient if you want to go early and avoid the crowd.

So glad we stayed at this gem for our brief visit in Kyoto. I have no regrets except for that we didn’t stay longer! Hosts were so incredibly kind from the moment we checked in until we left. We arrive a few hours early and they let us check in early. Our room was the biggest we stayed in out of all accommodations in Japan. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were so thoughtful and useful. They provide pajamas and they were so soft and comfy! Location was perfect too. Right in the Gion district, but tucked away in a quiet street that felt like you were out of the hustle and noise. There’s a sweet potato cafe around the corner that we frequented and a 7/11 up the street. Highly recommend staying here over all the other chain and fancy hotels. Thank you for having us and making our last nights in Japan so warm and inviting!
