Nol kyoto sanjo offers its guests a garden, coffee/tea in a common area, and laundry facilities. WiFi is free in public spaces. Nol kyoto sanjo also features a front-desk safe and an elevator.
I recently stayed at nol kyoto sanjo as a solo traveler on my first trip to Japan. I loved the hotelâs proximity to many of Kyotoâs major attractions - itâs super easy to get to Nishiki Market, the Gino District, Pontocho Alley and plenty of shopping from here. The hotel itself was lovely. The free coffee and sake happy hour in the lobby was refreshing after a day out exploring the city. My room was spacious and I loved the interior design. While not a ryokan of course, it still felt very Japanese. Also, an added bonus was having a washer/dryer in the room which I did not realize was available when I booked! I look forward to staying here again on my return trip to Japan, which I am already planning!
We had a fantastic stay at the Nol hotel in Kyoto. The rooms were clean and very stylish with a unique bath which made our stay very special. The additional services like a washer/dryer in the room was a big hit as we could clean our clothes weâd already worn on our holiday.
The hotel also provides a large range of nice drinks, Sakes and snacks which were a lovely gesture to go above and beyond. The price of our stay was well worth the money.
We stayed at the deluxe room (Hibaburo) for six nights. This is one of the best hotels weâve ever stayed at. The location is perfect: situated in a very cozy part of the Sanjo area in Kyoto with a few minutes walk to Nishki Market, Takeshita Street, Kawaramachi Street and Gion. The feeling of the hotel itself is very similar to a spa and there is a lounge space on the first floor work complementary soft drinks and Japanese snacks. The room is very spacious, cozy and will organized. The bed is huge, albeit on the harder side (which I prefer but some people donât). We used the lovely wooden bathtub almost every night. The suga was very pleasant and friendly, we had sent or luggage from or previous hotel and when we arrived at nol all of or suitcases had already been brought up to or room.
This is an amazing hotel, cannot recommend it enough, and when we return to Kyoto, we will 100% book this hotel again.
While the staff seem to be friendly, we found the hotel to be poorly maintained and not worth the cost. Issues we experienced include:
- Mould in the bathroom
- Towels smelling of fish
- Washer dryer not fully drying clothes
- Large gaps in the blinds
This hotel has the perfect blend of modern and traditional elements. The space in the room was plentiful and very clean. The wooden tub really made the experience much better especially at the end of the night while soaking in it. Quiet neighborhood, friendly and communicative staff I would definitely recommend nol Kyoto sanjo to any traveller. Looking forward to coming back!
Our stay at nol kyoto sanjo was one of the highlights of our trip to Kyoto. It was the perfect peaceful getaway from the busy streets of Kyoto, and we often found ourselves wandering "home" to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the tranquility of this marvelous hotel. The hotel is beautiful--it exudes Japanese minimalism with modern touches and every detail has been taken into consideration. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing in our hiba soaking tub after many days of walking nonstop. The staff were very courteous and helpful and we enjoyed access to the lounge and sampling coffee and sake. We'll definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Kyoto. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
The hotel was beautiful with natural touches like a tree in the middle of the hotel which is open to the sky. One day it was raining and it was absolutely gorgeous.
Our room was spacious with a double beds, a couch, a table, kitchenette, washer/drier combo, tv, automatic curtains, rainfall shower and a hinoki tub.
Upon check in the hotel provides you with a map of things to do in the area which was very helpful.
The tub was definitely my favorite part or the room, it was relaxing and smelt of the wood.
The hotel staff was very helpful in sending out bags to our next destination. In the lobby they also have free coffee in the mornings & free self serve sake tasting in the evening with snacks.
The hotel is also very central and you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and even the historic neighborhoods in Kyoto.
Overall we loved staying at Nol Kyoto Sanji and can't wait to visit again.
Really really beautiful design and architecture. The rooms felt culturally authentic yet modern. The wooden tubs were such a cool experience. The cleanliness was top tier! Location was in a quiet area that was close to tourist things, without being in the busy, loud areas.
