Superb property. Extremely spacious. Clean. Loved the indoor and outdoor baths. Beds were comfortable. The laundry machine was a great bonus. They restocked water and coffee and tea. Location was also great.

Beautiful property. We loved staying here. We had the traditional Japanese breakfast for one of our mornings and it was excellent (though it came earlier than expected). Having 2 bathrooms was great so parents can have their own while the kids had another. The shower/bathing room was nice and spacious. We really enjoyed the outdoor deep soaker tub as well (though we don’t realize the water temperature was controlled in the shower room until our second night). The location was quick to get to a train station and was close to convenience stores like 7-eleven and Family Mart. We were able to take the train to Osaka with all of our luggage directly from the train station nearest to us, which was great for our checkout. We also made use of the in-suite laundry so we could refresh our clothes for the second half of our trip. Staff was very friendly as well, and quite helpful. They also provided umbrellas for us to use while we were there which came in handy during our stay. Highly recommend staying here.

We only stayed here for 1 night and it was amazing. Our suite had a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the washroom was the biggest we've ever stayed in, with 2 sinks, a0p roomy standing shower and a deep soak tub that was quite large. There was even an upstairs area with another room, tea, and another toilet. The onsen itself was right outside the window area so you can just step into it which we loved. We did think it was going to be a bit bigger, nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was incredibly relaxing and very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here even for a night just for the luxury experience.

A spectacular Ryokan experience in a quiet residential area. The open air bath was amazing. Very comfortable accommodations. Be warned however, there are very steep chairs and the upstairs beds are all very low to the ground or directly on the ground. We would not recommend for elderly or people with mobility issues.

This was a beautiful property with very good staff members. However, there is an obvious mold problem in the main bathroom, with a musty smell and back mold around the wooden tub. We had serious allergies, and a strong reaction and I wasn't able to sleep well. They had air filters around the first and second floors but this doesn't do any good. I had alerted the front desk of this problem, she mentioned they will clean it. I think at this point it is not something that can be cleaned but the wooden tub needs to be completely removed to solve the problem. I just want to make this aware so they have this problem fixed.

It was such a beautiful property. Japan is safe in general no matter where you go but what a beautiful property this was. Spacious with a large bedroom, outdoor ‘onsen’ bath area. Extra bedroom/dining/living area upstairs with a powder room. Main bath has a large walk in shower and another onsen type bath as well. We forgot our pouch there with our passports and they reached out to us right away. Staff was always polite and helpful, but this literally goes with everyone we dealt with during our trip. We highly recommend this place!

Room very clean, very nice Ryokan, however once we checked in iterally there was 0 staff usually available for anything. We had questions regarding how to dispose of our garbage and questions one day about no running hot water, there were explanation sheets but 0 personal available which for we had never experienced before. The laundry service in the room was helpful but again we had to use google translate to figure it out because there was usually no one around.

A good hotel can truly elevate the quality of a trip, and this hotel did exactly that. The room was much more spacious than I expected, and the hotel itself was excellent overall. It definitely enhanced my travel experience. However, I unfortunately did not receive much help from the staff. During this trip, I had an unexpected car issue and ended up checking in later than planned. Staff members are available only until 9 PM, and after that there is no one on-site. I arrived around 9:10 PM and wanted to contact someone for assistance, but it was extremely difficult to reach anyone. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, I was finally connected to an AI support system. I was disappointed when I was told that my room number had already been provided in the check-in information link. Since the room numbers are written in kanji rather than numbers, it may be difficult for guests from countries unfamiliar with kanji to find their rooms easily. After a long and exhausting journey in the heat, it was frustrating not being able to speak with a real person. I was simply told, rather coldly, that the room information was already included in the link I had received earlier. Please be careful to complete the check-in process in advance. Otherwise, you may find yourself in a very difficult situation late at night.

​If you are looking for a luxurious, private ryokan-style experience with modern tech, book Rojiyu Kyoto immediately. The two-story villa is spotless, beautifully designed, and remarkably quiet. ​Having a kitchenette was incredibly convenient, and the in-unit washer/dryer was an absolute lifesaver for our travels! To top it all off, soaking in our own private outdoor open-air bath was unforgettable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A perfect 10/10 stay!

Beautiful place very clean and helpful staff. My only complaint is the hot water heater system. You have to press a button to turn it on to get desired temperature and was constantly causing me problems trying to use it. My outdoor tub also leaked from faucet anytime while using it. Small imperfections but for over $500 a night needs to be addressed.
