- Continuing from the wooden deck, a footbridge overlooking the magnificent garden takes you to a lookout point on stilts, giving you the feeling of being immersed in the gully and the cane fields. Here you'll find outdoor garden furniture and a hanging bar where you can enjoy a coffee at sunrise or a cocktail at sunset. From here, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the flight of the Maillard's Harrier (known here as the papangue, a species endemic to Réunion and one of the rarest birds of prey in the world), or to see the flooded ravine below and hear the murmur of water flowing down from the mountains!
- The lush tropical garden is filled with spices and fruit trees: mangoes, bananas, papayas, avocados, vanilla, pitayas, passion fruit, coffee, vines, lemons and pomelos! In this peaceful green space, where you can meet the local chameleon (known here as the sleepy one), you can take a siesta in the hammock under the coconut trees, or gather around the garden table on the edge of the gully to enjoy the birdsong.

LOCATION et ENVIRONMENT
Villa Amara is located in a highly sought-after residential area of Etang-Salé-les-Hauts. It is located in a cul-de-sac used only by local residents, and is therefore very quiet. The shops and many restaurants in the town centre are just a few minutes' walk away (less than 5 minutes by car). Situated between the sea and the forest, in a green setting, the beautiful black sand beach of Étang-Salé-les-Bains is just a 10-minute drive away, as is the Route des Tamarins, which will take you all over the island. While the villa's location means you can take full advantage of the view over the Indian Ocean, it also provides the perfect setting for a number of well-marked walks and hikes (on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike/electric bike) in the Étang-Salé national forest. For the more adventurous, the cycle paths and seaside trails offer beautiful walks and vantage points for sumptuous photos. Numerous attractions (Bourbon Golf Club, Parc de La Réunion Zoo, Croc Parc, Akoatys Water Park, horse riding and diving centres, etc.) and must-see tourist attractions in the south of the island (Etang-salé chasm, Gol sugar cane factory, Indian Ocean Museum of Decorative Arts, Stella Matutina Museum, Kélonia Farm, Turtle Garden, Domaine des milles cocos, Domaine du café grillé, Tamil temples in St-Pierre, etc.) are less than a 20-minute drive away. ) are less than 20 minutes' drive from the villa.
