For the price, it was a comfortable room and I enjoyed the breakfast. The bathroom could use some storage/shelves and the shower was difficult to use. We had to google how to use it! To get hot water the water pressure needs to be down low. You couldn’t stand under a stream of water as there was no holder for the shower head on the wall any higher than waist level. The location is a close drive to restaurants and shops, but not really walkable. There was a fair amount of road noise. The staff were helpful and I enjoyed having paid laundry service available.

I loved the bathroom space and bedroom very beautiful greenery and windows in our room the breakfast alone has us all amazed thank you soo much for being so helpful with helping us book our tour for the day they have soo many options and helpful suggestions thank you all for a magical stay the only things I would suggest would be to have an actual reception bathroom or at least one for more then 1 person at a time and also the pot holes coming in and out 😅 other then this very high maintenance suggestion I would recommend this place to anyone

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in a bungalow at Hotel Tangara Arenal. The bungalow was beautifully furnished with everything we needed and the lush tropical trees surrounding it gave us privacy. We felt like we were on our own private retreat. For our free breakfast, the Tangara offered a breakfast menu with several great choices. We were really impressed with that! We also ate at the restaurant the first night and the seafood pasta was excellent. We had a great experience at the Hotel Tangara Arenal and would definitely stay here again.

We really liked this hotel. Our family of four had plenty of space in our 3 bed room. Plenty of room to move around. The lush greenery everywhere made it feel like you are in the middle of nature. It was lovely. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay there again.

Our family spent 3 nights at this property and we loved it. It is just outside of town making it accessible, but also very quiet. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed listening to and watching all of the birds that visited. The restaurant on the premises was amazing, and we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

A lovely stay.

This is a very simple and beautiful hotel. We stayed in one of the casitas/bungalows and it was just lovely. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and staff were all warm and friendly. This is not a fancy hotel, but it was just perfect for us. Cute towel animals greeted us every day.

Fit for family stay

We booked family room, which was spacious, comfy big beds. The only small issue was with loose shower water tap. We especiall, enjoyed breakfasts and dinner in the garden and professional and nice staff.
