The thermal pools were great. The staff were fantastic and very customer service oriented. We appreciated how most staff could speak English to help us with our stay as we are still learning Spanish and they didn’t hold that against us.

Great breakfast and lovely staff. Hotel felt very dated, especially for the price. Room was large and had a lot of noise through the door and the sound of chairs scraping in other rooms came through the walls and ceiling at all hours, particularly in the day when others were moving around. The pools were heated through a thermal spring which was a novelty but overall felt very shabby - tiles had fallen off areas which left sharp corners and a poor look, the concrete floor had worn away in areas which made the floor very uncomfortable under bare feet. Overall not what I would expect for the money.

Hotel and staff were excellent. We had to ask management to quiet down a group of drunks who took their own speakers to pool and spent 3 hours screaming like animals. The second we asked, the hotel did everything right and addressed the situation in a classy and professional way. It was well handled. Not hotel’s fault— shame on the people.

The breakfast buffet is spectacular. The view from the room was beautiful. The staff was so wonderful. A lovely place to stay. Anyone who has trouble with stairs should stay somewhere else as there are only stairs to the main level...no ramps.

This place was incredible! The resort itself is stunning! The thermal hot springs were relaxing and super clean. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The views from the balcony overlooking the main pool and a straight shot view of the volcano were out of this world. But the real stars of the show are the staff. I’ve traveled all over the world and the amount of attention the staff gave us was above and beyond. From the doorman, to the incredible front desk staff. The pool bar tenders, breakfast and dinner servers. I cannot rave about them enough. It was my wife’s birthday and they surprised her with multiple birthday celebrations unexpectedly. From decor in the room, to birthday cupcakes at breakfast, to birthday decor at dinner. The staff were just amazing! We reserved some of the best massages and body wraps ever. I highly recommend the spa treatments. This place was just an all around amazing resort experience. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel extremely special! Until next time. Pure vida.
