Martha was a great host. She was very responsive and patient. However, beware the town house it’s self need some TLC. You can tell the owners haven’t been there in a while. Appliance were inoperable, kitchen was full of mismatched and useless pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Throughout the house there were damaged fixtures and the floors could be cleaner.

Great, quiet location

We enjoyed the condo we stayed in. It was very spacious and had pretty much everything we needed! We loved the pool area, the food at the bar was good, and the view is amazing. We didn’t always love the water taxi ride, as it adds a bit of travel time trying to get back into town. The highlight of the water taxi rides were the dolphins in the bay.

Nice surprise

We were pleasantly surprised with the property. It looked like the internet photos. We enjoyed the pool and also walks on the beach. The water taxi and van service made it easy to get to La Paz for meals or shopping. The only negative thing was that we drove to the resort. It would have been easier to park the car and take the water taxi to the resort. We would vacation there again!

The unit was unfortunately very dirty. We mopped the floors ourselves after we looked at our feet. There was blasting music/dance party late at night and our kids weren't able to fall asleep at bedtime- it was a bit of a disaster. The host tried to contact the onsite manager but to no avail. The host promised a refund for this unfortunate night but is no longer responding to us about this, so likely they will not follow through with this refund. What a bummer. I'm sure other units here are a good option as the property itself is great. We would not recommend staying here. Check other hosting sites for reviews also.

18 Days at Paraiso del Mar

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Condo's of Paraiso del mar. The condo is well appointed, and had everything we needed for our stay. The view from the patio is wonderful, looking out to the Sea of Cortes, the golf course was good, and the City of La Paz itself won us over. Boat back and forth, sometimes was a pain, but nothing that would prevent us from coming back again. Maude the property manager was very responsive, and ensured all was well with our stay. Highly Recommended.

This was our first trip to La Paz, the condo and the entire property at PDM was great! Condo is fully stocked and very spacious and comfortable. Communication with Maude was very easy, she is very responsive and helpful. The pool bar/restaurant food is incredible and staff was alot of fun. We caught some Dorado and brought it back to the property, they cooked up 3 different courses for us which were all amazing. The mesquitos were very bad even in December, but we there was repellent in the condo for us to use, so that was helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and Peaceful

This place is lovely, large, and has everything you could want. The two master bedrooms was perfect for us and two grown daughters. The view was beautiful with the well landscaped yard, infinity pool area, and beach and Sea of Cortez, beyond! The water and the area was so peaceful. There were no wild loud parties, or so many kids yelling you couldn't hear yourself think. Everyone was very conscientious. The staff was friendly and helpful. La Paz is amazing in so many ways! Even the ferry ride over from the mainland was a treat! We saw dolphins and pelicans, and a gorgeous sunset! The free and available bicycles made for a fun afternoon. Maude, was responsive and very helpful! (email her directly). We will return!

Beautiful spot by the beach!

Our family of four had a wonderful time at the condo. It's exactly as shown in the photos, and the views out over the lawn to the pool and beach were even more beautiful than in the pictures. Our kids loved the pool and the quiet, swimmable beach. We all enjoyed taking the water taxi back and forth across the harbor to get to La Paz. A couple of tips for those thinking of booking:-We actually drove our rental car out to the resort on our first day. It was a pretty sandy road though, and I would actually recommend just parking your rental car on a sides street in La Paz and taking the boat to and from the resort. It's very straightforward and there's lots of room for luggage.-My wife and kids got bit quite a lot by little midges or sand flies (or something like that). We didn't see many mosquitoes, just those tiny biting flies. Bring bug spray if you're going to spend any time outdoors, especially in the evenings.-Do your grocery shopping in town and carry all groceries back on the boat. There's a little "store" at the resort, but it's not really someplace you'd go shopping for all your groceries.We had an absolutely outstanding time at this condo, and we would book again in a heartbeat. I'm already considering a trip back next year!

Pariaso Del Mar is wonderful! Love this property. We have been to El Magote several times and enjoy the water taxi and all of the employees at Pariaso Del Mar very much. They cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. They are friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. Some issues with the condo....We were never contacted by the property manager until we emailed her the day before we were to arrive. She gave us the code but told us she would be out of town. No check in process really. The sheets were so old they were pilled and coarse. They really need to be replaced! 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. No extras left. I have never stayed at a property where I had to purchase toilet paper. Half the remotes had no batteries and various light bulbs were out. Sorry not buying light bulbs or batteries. :( We enjoyed the place but did not feel that the condo had been prepared adequately for our arrival. Clean just not checked thoroughly. Rooms were very nicely decorated. If you are traveling with small children, there were many toys and such.

Our first time - recommendation from friend. Amazing place to visit and wonderful location. We had so much fun...sun, pool, hot tubs, fire pits, walking, bicycling, golfing, water sports, etc. Loved having the water taxi for transportation to/from mainland. Everyone we met at Paraiso Del Mar was so nice and helpful :O) Look forward to coming back!!

Home from Home

Very quite and friendly staff, great walks along the beach spotting Dolphins and paddling/swimming in the 92 degree sea and then walking along the seafront in the evening going for dinner. A perfect place to decompress!!

The best place to stay in La Paz

We have stayed at this property before, different condo, but it never disappoints. The condo was perfect. The restaurant on the property makes the best food. Celebrated my husband’s birthday and they went all out. Very well organized and the food was excellent. The condo was stocked with everything we needed including beach chairs, towels, and a beach umbrella. It made our vacation wonderful. I suggest to bring cash to tip the van drivers and the boat crew. They worked hard and were always available when we needed them. Try to get a later flight out because trying to leave at 6:00 am, getting a van and the boat was easy, but you had to do it all through the employee dock which was not convenient at all. I also think we inconvenienced the employees. We will know better next time. Big thanks to our host as the condo was perfect.

unit I will give an overview of the resort and this particular unit as well as some pros and cons. The facility is very nice and was quite empty during our visit. People said that it was at the beginning of the high season and would get quite busy. They are in the midst of building several of the units, so construction noise and lots of dust was always there during the day. The restaurant was very good and reasonable, and all staff members were extremely nice and helpful. Although there is no official office, the sales office was reasonably helpful and allowed us to use the phone and print out return boarding passes. The facility has been there for over 10 years and shows it in some places. Owners we talked to from the condos and the casitas said that it has changed ownership three times due to financial issues and they hoped this current one would last. We did use the bicycles several times to ride around the area and it is a great addition. Unfortunately due to the beach environment, they are rusted in some places making adjustment for the seat and handlebars impossible. A little maintenance would go a long way, to help this. When we arrived at the airport and asked a taxi to take us there they had never heard of the resort, even though it is the only one on El Magote (peninsula) and clearly visible form everywhere on the Malecon in La Paz. It made no sense to us. Getting groceries is a bit of a hassle, even though they have a very, very small store at the resort, you have to get it to the boat dock and transfer it over to El Magote then van it over to your condo. I would think future plans should include a small market. The dive operators did pick us up at the resort dock, which made things way more convenient. Although I did not have time to play golf, it looked very nice and playable with at this time of year very few people playing. The beach on the bay side is really not a white sandy beach nor particularly clear water. This is also where the whale sharks are and can be seen from a high vantage point. The other side closest to La Paz is more mangroves. We did scuba dive and snorkel a couple of days and found it somewhat underwhelming. Visibility was moderate at best and coral pretty sparse. There were reasonable numbers of fish, but little variety.
