There is an opportunity to go on hiking over the cliffs where the trail goes all the way to Lagos. Most of the trail is by the ocean and the scenery is truly magnificent. Throughout the trail, there is a variety of beaches to stop by and explore, starting with Praia de Porto Mos, then Praia de Canavial with its dramatic cliffs and hidden grottos chiseled by winter storms, followed by Ponta de Piedade lighthouse. Next is Praia do Camilo with the renowned namesake seafood restaurant by the beach, After Praia de Dona Ana, you cut through side streets to Beach Estudiantes and finally to the main boardwalk in Lagos. You can stop by Lagos Marina and have a beer and/or lunch and shop your way through the calcada streets in Lagos. There are also boat tours leaving Lagos Marina that will let you enjoy the scenery from the ocean side. This trail is quite spectacular.
