Surrounded by cork oak and olive trees, the house has 1 double bed and 1 bedroom with 2 large single beds. There is one bathroom, a spacious living room with a sofa, and a dining area. Our property is approximately 100.000 m² in size, and we’re just a stone’s throw from the beautiful town of Lagos and all its beaches, the marina, and much more. Herdade do Castanheiro was once a working farm with livestock (horses, cows, sheep, etc.). We are surrounded by many very old cork oak trees. We have a small orange grove, as well as fig trees, olive trees, lemon and lime trees, some grapevines, and a variety of other species. Enjoy the tranquility of country life far from home.

Feel free to stroll around and enjoy the scenery and nature.
We have a covered barbecue area with outdoor seating and umbrellas.

We currently have a lovely family of cows grazing on our land. Enjoy watching them, but please show respect and always keep your distance.

We recently purchased this property and are starting a new chapter in our lives. We hope you have a great time and look forward to your feedback.

You’re free to move around the property, but please don’t climb over fences.
Enjoy the shade under one of our 200-year-old cork oaks and take in the natural surroundings.
Feel free to sample a snack from the variety of fruits as they ripen.
At night, it’s a great spot for stargazing.

We’re located right on several Cyclinportugal bike routes, and this could be a good starting point or stopover for your tour.

Please ask if you have any specific questions.

Bedding and towels are included in the price and are changed every 7 days.
