We had not been to the property in several years, but thought the remodel was beautiful. We love the restaurant selection and the pool area. Unfortunately, a few service issues kept this visit from being as enjoyable as we’d hoped. Overall, the property itself is lovely. However, there were several issues with the pool -the lack of cleanliness with trash around the chairs and under vegetation around the lazy river. This was present when we arrived early at the pool area and still had not been cleaned when we left that afternoon -the improper functioning of the current in the river - towel shortages at pool and our room until the last day of our stay -and never being able to reach guest services for an additional blanket made for a disappointing experience. I would have given a lower rating, but we did appreciate the kindness of the staff we encounter and the fact that they employ people with disabilities.

Great staff, confusing room. I'm not sure why the walls in the suite looked like a yellow liquid was dripping from the top all around the room especially in the bathroom and front of the bedroom. The property was clean, if going with a family I'd recommend going to the pool before 6pm, after that there appears to be a much different crowd with loud music and smoking that begins.

A mini-vacation stop on our roadtrip

This property doesn’t disappoint! Beautiful, clean, a lot of dining options, and did I mention the lazy river??? Had a very relaxing time in the pool area. Best meal was at Asia but if you don’t have time for a restaurant meal, the pantry has great options! They are open late night and they have great coffee. We stay here a couple nights every time we are going thru Lake Charles.
