We visited in summer months so we did not need the fireplace but it did make the room feel very cozy - we enjoyed the cookies at check in as well as the coffee and tea bar in the room. Excellent hotel with a location that is off the highway in a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Easy parking and driving to nearby attractions. Stayed in the duplex cabin, which was very spacious for a long, Memorial Day weekend; great kitchen, sitting area, and fireplace. Hot tub is ok. Hotel is very comfortable; lots of decorative touches. Will definitely stay again. (Our neighbors in the adjoining part of the duplex were noisy. Please don't invite them back!!)
