The hotels location is its selling point. Yhe hotel is clean and has dining option. Disnt hang out at hotel much but i provides what i needed.

When I stayed here I was informed only after I fully checked in and got my room key that the hotel was without hot water. I was then given a drink coupon to their on-site bar for myself and the other 2 people who were traveling with me. We walked over to the bar only to find out it was closed and we were only in town for 1 night. I gave the coupon back and asked to speak with a manager and was told that they went home for the night and to come back in the morning. The next morning the manager told me she was unable to reduce the price since I booked through Expedia, but she did wave the $10 parking fee and she also had me sign up for best western rewards where she gave me ~$50 in points. The overall experience was very disappointing.

To each their own! My feedback is based on my own experiences when staying at the Becket Hotel. First of all, the hotel is located in the center of downtown Lake Tahoe. It is very convenient and walkable. The free breakfast is good with varied choices. However, the hotel itself is very poorly maintained. It is outdated, dirty, and broken. I am not so happy with the room at all. It has a broken floor by the door, a loose handle on the shower door, the floor has many big, dirty stains, the bench dresser is dirty with black stains all over, and furthermore, the AC is horrible. Every time we turn it on, a foul smell comes out, which is unpleasant. They probably never clean it. The parking will run out if you check in late even if you have to pay for parking.

Was a great stay until the hot water stopped working. There was zero communication from management or staff in regards to when it will be working, and what they were doing to rectify the situation with their guest. Unable to shower for two days. Rooms were not cleaned during this time even after calling and requesting. Unfortunately will probably not stay here again.

Rooms were clean, the shower was small, no tub. I traveled with my grandson and a tub would’ve been a lot easier for bathing. The continental breakfast was good and fresh. The staff was really nice. The shower in the room was clogged and staff sent maintenance man pretty quickly to fix.

Very underwhelming experience saying here 7/20/25–7/24/25. I had the displeasure of staying in room 148, which was the most uncomfortably warm and stuffy hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. I’m not sure if it was because the ice machine backed up to one of the walls of the room, but I had to have the A/C or fan running the entire time I was in the room, keep in mind the daytime highs never got warmer than the mid 70s. It was also exceedingly noisy, although there isn’t a lot a hotel can do about noisy guests, so that doesn’t factor into the rating. The room looked like it was about 75% of the way renovated, and then they just gave up. The A/C was a wall unit that looked like it hadn’t been replaced since the early 90s. I stayed 4 nights and housekeeping never bothered to make up my room a single time. The staff, although friendly enough, seemed pretty aloof and disinterested. The property itself had absolutely nothing to offer in the way of amenities, not even so much as a water bottle fill station which is an industry standard in 2025. And to top it all off, there was hotel-wide issue with the water heater, so I had no hot water the last day and night of my stay, so i couldn’t even take a nice warm shower after my 5 hour climb of Mt. Tallac. The only reason this place doesn’t get one star is because the location is ideal—right across the street from Heavenly Village and only about 6 or 7 blocks from the casinos on Stateline. I will be finding somewhere else to stay next time.

We loved staying here, the only thing that was inaccurate about the description of the room amenities was the fact that we had a cooler instead of a refrigerator. If you stay here prepare to have to add bags of ice to the cooler to make sure your drinks or food stays cold. Otherwise, the staff and free breakfast was amazing.

Concert at the Lake

Made reservations through 3rd party & hotel did not have me for two nights, but they fixed it and were very friendly. Room was comfortable, although the carpets could use a good cleaning! Only gripe was our upstairs neighbors loudly banged on the floor both nights.

It was a quick 1 day trip for a concert and the Becket BW was within walking distance to the venue and half the price. It was nice, clean and convenient, the staff was also helpful and had excellent customer service. The free breakfast included with the stay was a pleasant surprise and very good. Will definitely consider staying here again

This hotel has turned into a dump. I have been going here for past few years for snowboarding trips. Beds are dirty and toilet are constantly making noise. Read the fine print…hotel parking is no longer free, but they charge you 10 dollars to park at this dump. The breakfast has improved though , from a paper bag w/ an Apple and a granola bar, to eggs and bacon and a variety of fruits. If you have different options, put your money somewhere else.

Decent rooms. Clean, other than carpet stains. Shower was a standing shower with a tight space. Parking lot was small 2 nights there wasn’t an open space had to park in the shopping center next to it. It’s close to everything shopping, restaurants, the Gandola. The breakfast was really good you have a short walk to a separate eating area it was nice. Walking distance to lakeside beach which is private you do have to pay to enter. Over all decent hotel for the area n price.
