Avis pour Carnelian Bay Home w/ Hot Tub Near Tahoe Skiing
The house is very pretty. Easy to get to. We were hoping for snow for the grandkids and found lots of it.There were a few technical issues when we arrived but the owner and contact responded inmediatez y and things were taken care of. We would definitely stay again
We had a great stay at this property. The home is beautiful and spacious and in a nice location near Lake Tahoe. We had a little trouble with the hot tub (you need to manually program it to increase the heat which was challenging and it takes a few hours to warm up), however the hosts were very helpful. The fooseball table is also missing balls so we couldn't play.
Brandon the host is really responsive, as is the property management company (Evolve). Location is really amazing -- the neighborhood is great but you are super close to several ski mountains and fun towns like Tahoe City, Kings Beach and Incline Village. Rooms are great, most of them have their own bathroom and there's a nice wraparound deck, and the basement room is a good kids area plus there is access to the hot tub there. Also, the gas fireplaces churns out the heat on a cold day for sure and is always a nice touch. There's a big laundry room for ski gear and fully stocked with detergent, dryer sheets, etc. One thing to note, there is no garage, but there is driveway plow service, but you may need to wave them down at times. We were there during the crazy February storm and our neighbor to the right of us (if looking at the house) live there full-time and he helped us dig out with his own personal snowblower. This is not on Brandon or the property management, they pay for the plow service, just not sure the plow driver was paying attention that day. But the cabin is great, plus being on a bit of hill meant we got to build an epic sledding track for the kids!
We enjoyed staying in this amazing home during our winter vacation. The home was large, clean, and a great space to accommodate our families and friends. The home is exactly as pictured. The House is in great condition, open communal area of the kitchen, living & dining room for the whole family to congregate in, bedrooms are all spacious. The driveway is large enough to accommodate all our cars. Evolve had great communication. I would stay again & recommend it!

Great place to stay for a large group.
The other reviews werenât the best, but I donât see why. There was plenty of space and the house was so comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, just missing cooking oil. They have extra blankets and towels and a collapsible canopy you can bring to the beach. The hot tub was working fine and very was relaxing. Great neighborhood.

Beautiful home
We really enjoyed our stay in this big, beautiful home. We had a party of 10, two being children. There was plenty of room and a lovely deck to sit and eat dinners on. A few things we would like to have seen, unfortunately the hot tub was not filled enough to be used. We couldn't find a hose to fill it, but the owner responded quickly to our message. The house is also missing a few essentials. There was no bar or shower gel in any of the bathrooms. We found ourselves scrambling in the morning when people wanted to take a shower. The house is also low on kitchen items, tin foil, baggies, spices or oil and mixing bowls. Not a big deal, it was just a few items we did not bring with us and we had to purchase them the next day. Again, other than these few things the house was clean and well taken care of. Access to the beach was easy and fun. The location was perfect for us, being right in between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, two places we love to frequent. We would definitely stay here again.
Overall the stay wasn't terrible. The location is good and the house is in good condition but it is not nearly as thoughtfully appointed as comparable rentals we've stayed at in the area. The cleaning seemed a little rushed as bathroom (and toilet) looked dirty. There weren't enough towels for the number of people staying there (not even close to exceeding the maximum number of guests allowed), no shampoo in the showers, and one of the bathrooms didn't even have a holder for the toilet paper.
I've also never stayed in a place that required guests to fill the hot tub....which was done by filling pails of water from the sink indoors (the hose was frozen and even then the water would have been ground water and taken well over half of our stay to heat up).
While the house is fine and operable, until this place gets up to speed on what is normal and expected as a non-discount rental in Tahoe, I would not recommend it over comparable locations.
