Descanso Escondido- A Beautiful Cabin in Pinetop/ Lakeside AZ

Descanso Escondido (Hidden Rest) is tucked away on over 2 heavily wooded acres in the Ponderosa pines of Lakeside, Arizona. The home is outfitted to nestle guests with spacious and modern amenities. The cabin sits a mere five minutes from downtown Pinetop-Lakeside! There you will find shopping, restaurants, entertainment, antiquing, and more. Descanso Escondido is perfectly located just minutes from several trailheads, parks, lakes, horseback riding, and golfing. You will only be 40 minutes from Arizona's largest ski resort! Grocery stores and other amenities are no further than a 5-minute drive. The home features 3 bedrooms (each with a queen size bed) and 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms have heated floors and all bedrooms and the main living area have ceiling fans.

As you can see from the pictures, Descanso Escondido has been a labor of love and many of the amenities were purchased new and through eco-friendly companies.

More information about the property can be found at www.descansoescondido.com. The space Descanso Escondido offers a Tesla charger in the main house garage. There is a separate RV garage set up as a game room for you and your guests to enjoy including table tennis, corn hole, Giant Connect4, and Jumbo Jenga.

The house comes equipped with one touch WiFi connectivity, Sonos One WiFi speakers, flat panel televisions with ROKU guest mode in the main room and main bedroom, Bluetooth speaker in kitchen, BluRay/DVD with a library of movies for the whole family, boardgames, a curated library of books, hot water on tap, coffee bar including Keurig featuring premium coffees and teas. The laundry room is equipped with a workstation, full-size washer and dryer, and premium laundry supplies (Rockin' Green/Downy/Bounty).

The outdoor space features a gas grill with propane provided, fire pit for when fires are permitted, back porch with seating for 6, front porch with seating for 2, hammock, swing, and picnic table.

The home is furnished with all guests in mind, including infants and toddlers. In the main bedroom, you will find a space just for them including a pack-n-play, linens, a sound machine, audio monitors, special utensils and dinnerware, toys, and highchair.

Descanso Escondido welcomes dogs, and you will have your very own private dog park on property to let your pups explore. You will find the home stocked with several Rae Dunn dog bowls and dog beds. Guest access Guests have access to the entire space except a supply closet in the laundry room. Other things to note Please make sure all garage doors are closed and the doors and windows are locked when you leave the property.

Peaceful getaway in the pines

Great place in a peaceful neighborhood. Perfect for people traveling with dogs. Huge fenced backyard plus your own private dog park! Wonderful back porch for relaxing. Comfortable home, well appointed with everything you need.

Outstanding home, yard & location!

We loved our stay at the Descanso Escondido. Fenced in property allowed our 3yr old to explore the woods without the parents worrying. Having ammenities on hand for our 9mo old was such a relief (high chair, crib, noise machines etc) saving us from traveling with all those. The house was perfect, game room is a blast, and the yard was perfect for us. We will book again.

Definitely Coming Back

This place was amazing in every way. The location is convenient but still feels secluded. Huge fenced in yard was a hit with the kids and dog, we had rain and then lots of snow. Game room was fun but got a little cold for the kids. The whole place was well stocked and decorated fantastic. We definitely plan on coming back here in the future.

Great place to stay, especially for kids

This is a beautiful home in the woods. It has a very large fenced area in back and our dog just loved it. We didn't bring any kids, but it's a special place for children. Others have commented on the TV. I thought the Roku was set up for guest but I couldn't get it to work. I also couldn't get the DVD player to work. A more tech savvy person might have better luck. Extremely well furnished, especially for cooking. Our only complaint was that the coffee maker stopped working. I left a message with the rental company but never got a call back. Still, a great place to stay for a restful and fun vacation in the mountains, especially to get away from the Arizona heat. Very worth the price.

Beautiful! But a couple things..

This home is perfect for families! We really enjoyed our stay and the area it’s in is so peaceful. The only things I have to say “bad” about it where , the TV issue, you have to have your own accounts to use the Roku TV ( misleading In the description ) and they had no regular TV to watch the news or anything (very long 4 nights) and the very long windy narrow road to get there should be disclosed as we were traveling in our RV towing a vehicle it was almost impossible. Other then that it was great!

Pinetop Weekend

It was a great home, clean and worked out for our needs. The playroom was awesome. Location was a little tricky in the dark, but did enjoy the quiet neighborhood.

Fabulous surprise!

Beautiful home with so much to do. We loved the game room, and played ping pong for hours. They thought of every little detail. Our only complaint was the TV. But we didn’t have time to watch. The house had great WiFi. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.
