This is my third tome staying at the Lancaster Arts Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and so well decorated! I love the art and artist theme. It is conveniently located to great dining and shopping. We also walked to a Minor League baseball game, which was fantastic and fun! John J. Jeffries restaurant was absolutely delicious! From vegetarian options to a pork chop for the meat-eaters in our group…everyone had great options! Sam did an amazing job of taking care of our large party. He was fantastic! We were celebrating my husband’s 50th birthday and they made every part of the evening so special!

I would say our stay was just fine. I’ve stayed at waaaay nicer hotels for less money. We chose this hotel because of the amazing reviews and honestly we were quite shocked when we got there. It’s in the middle of a couple busy roads and not near anything we could really walk to. The inside was just a lobby and a restaurant and an elevator. The room was basic. I feel like I stayed at a different hotel than everyone else that left reviews. Overall the room was clean and had the basics. The breakfast buffet was also very basic. It’s not a hotel we would stay at again but it was fine for an overnight.

I loved the history of the building and the faint smell of the tobacco that lingered from years past when it was a tobacco barn. I loved the decor and the art displayed by the guests. The dining was superb.

Nice and convenient location but with noise

Hotel is very convenient if you are visiting Franklin & Marshall College with the school being a 3 min drive or a short walk. All staff were very friendly. The room was nice and clean. However, the soundproofing is almost non-existent and you can hear everything in the hallway, room above, and outside in the parking lot. The noise issue is the primary issue if you are looking to get a good night’s rest. Otherwise, it is a very nice, historic property.

Stayed many times at this great property. This visit was not up to par. Room upgrade was not great nor was the noisy A/C unit and alternate room noise. Housekeeping was also lacking as we didn’t even get minimum towel or water. We had to track down housekeeping for both after room cleaning and tip.?!
