It started out never getting any notifications on how to access the house for check in. We arrived and waited for over an hour after check in to gain access . House was clean and the beds are very comfortable. But the toilet kept freezing up and not wanting to flush. Also there is some kind of squirrel or something living in the attic. The maintenance guys showed up to look at the toilet on the last day of our nine day stay. Said they would be back in a couple of hours and never returned.
Our stay was great. The house was exactly as described. It was in a great location. The owner was easy to reach and made sure we had everything we needed.
Be warned of the mandatory damage Insurance required to book this stay
Upon arrive I smelled an odor I couldn't place. By the end of my stay it became evident it was dog urine. The more I toured the home upon arrival I noticed a laundry list of damaged items. The first and most disturbing was the front door. It appeared at first glance all was okay until I attempted to use the dead bolt. When trying to engage the lock it would not turn. When inspecting further if it was human error or a malfunction in the equipment, I discovered the lock and the door frame latch did not line up. The "fix" was to place a child safety lock on the door handle. I alerted the hosts of my findings and nothing was done during my stay to rectify the issue. There were stains all over the green living room couch alone with a big rip. The dining room table had a large white stain. The wall clock was missing the minute hand, the rug smelled of dog urine. There is one usable closet in the front bedroom. I was looking around for possibly a blanket for my bed so I didn't need to raise the thermostat but instead I found a pillow stained which appeared to be blood. My fear of being responsible for all of the damages before my stay became my biggest concern because of the insurance that was mandatory before I even set foot in what I presumed was okay. The hosts only gave a response with no action behind my concerns. They seemed unaware of any of the damages and simply told me that they would inform their staff.
