The entire staff was wonderful. I felt like everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. From the point we drove in to the Valet, the doorman, check-in, restaurant staff, cashiers, dealers.. I mean everyone was super nice. That's not to say everything was perfect.. I have to knit-pick but even with those, it wasn't enough to take a star away. We will definitely be returning.

Clean, classy & affordable

We for the class ic renovated 1 bedroom queen room and it was wonderful! 2 lamps didn't work but with the big one it was sufficient since we were out most of the day. It down have the old smoke smell but only if you don't mind. Loved that it was 21+ and no kids were running around! The restaurant Segiel 1941 has classics American food and they are perfected! I would recommend for a comfortable and classic stay by Freemont and the Arta district.

The hotel was really nice! Felt clean & newly renovated. Our room was spacious & the bathroom was large & updated. Very happy with it! So close & handy to Fremont, short walk!

We loved the old charm of this hotel and the over all vibe! We stayed in one of the Original 47 Rooms and it was great. The bathroom set up was a little odd but it was built in the 40's so what can you expect. Everything was clean and staff was amazing!!!!

Every employee was happy, and i found out they love their boss (the owner) who treats them all like family! That is unheard of these days! Also, they have safe, secure parking for my pickup truck & expensive trailer. Dining choices are excellent! I've stayed in many Las Vegas places over many years, but from now on, El Cortez is the ONLY place I will ever stay!

Valet was extremely professional and remembered my name the next morning which I appreciated. I’ve stayed here before but this time they put me in the “Cabanas” which is a separate building. After walking through the casino and outside across the street with luggage, found out my “key” didn’t work so I had to walk all the way back in to the front desk and back outside. The cabanas aren’t bad, not great either, but I would have preferred to stay in the main casino and not this odd building across the street. Perhaps I should have looked into this more when the front desk said “cabanas” which sounded exciting but it was not what I was expecting.
