Wonderful villa surrounded by a delightful orange garden. very close to the beautiful beach of salinelle known all over the world for its wild beauty, it is still virgin and preserves the native vegetation intact. It is not unusual in fact, during the summer months, to see the white lilies of the sea bloom among the numerous sand dunes covered with large 'zabare', a species of spontaneous protected flora, typical of the area.

Beautiful House and Grounds

Our stay was wonderful, very nice host Rosario and Sara the neighbor were fantastic. Rosario even took us to the market bc we didn’t have car. Walked to several great restaurants and to the beach. Would definitely recommend a car though for next trip as going to places like Marsala was quite expensive in a taxi/car service. Cefalu was much closer and train was also close but scheduling was a little difficult for late return times. All in all, a great experience

Review

A very well designed and located property which was well equipped. We appreciated being close to a train station and the beach. The nearby restaurants were very good. It was a great base for hiking in the Madonie mountains. The property information online seemed to suggest we were renting the whole house rather than just the ground floor. We recommend this being clearer for future clients.

Lovely villa in Sicily

Three of us stayed in this villa for 2 weeks and very much enjoyed our stay. The few questions or problems we encountered were minor (non-functioning toaster) and dealt with immediately. It is located outside a small town, but we had a car rented and drove to various places during our stay and took the train one day to Palermo (about 1 hour) to avoid city driving. The train station is a short walk from the villa. We ate in quite a bit as there was a supermarket handy, but there are two good restaurants a short walk away. Well-managed property with friendly, helpful hosts.

Awesome place

The property was excellent. The property manager did a great job accommodating all our requests. We were three adults, three kids, (though with visitors we got up to 5 adults and 4 kids). It was great for 2 weeks. Short walk to the beach. Nice restaurant down the street. 5 min drive to supermarket. 10 min drive to Cefalu. Great garden for kids. The kitchen had everything. Yes, there are no supplies provided, but it's easy to get to the supermarket to collect things. There's also an apartment upstairs, but everything is pretty separate. Highly recommend.

Our stay in Sicily

The property is beautiful and clean. We love the yard where we soaked up all the sun of Sicily. The property is comfortable for 4 of us, but it would be tight with 6, and it probably wouldn't be comfortable for 8 with such a small living area. Only disappointment is that the property provided nothing or not enough for basic living needs. We had to beg for toilet paper (they left 2 rolls for 4 people for 7 days - they provided us 2 extra rolls and after that, they wouldn't provide anymore). They provided no soap at all, even for washing hands and charged for linen (15 Euro per person, which is steep). I don't know any Homeaway property that charges for linen or any renters would need to bring their own linen. Renting a home is no difference than renting a hotel room, but lack of basic living needs supplies definitely is an inconvenience and put a negative light on this property. If we come back to Sicily, not sure if we would like to rent that same property again.

A great base for the north of the island

The villa was as described - roomy, modern, well-equipped and convenient for Cefalù and the local beaches. The owners were very accommodating when we were delayed arriving and came to let us in at midnight! The instructions for checking in weren’t very clear, and with all the confusion we had with delayed flights and driving in unknown places in the dark on the wrong side of the road, it didn’t help. But once we got in touch they did everything they could to help us. We visited early in the season (early April) and so there weren’t any basics like washing up liquid, salt/pepper, oil in the place which was a shame, but with several decent shops nearby it wasn’t a problem. Parking for 2 cars in a private drive along with an outdoor BBQ and covered veranda (perfect for breakfast) means it has everything you need. The place is nice and quiet and has the best black-out shutters you can imagine! We used it as a base to explore Cefalù, Palermo and Agrigento, but going to Mt Etna was deemed a little too far, so we booked into a B&B for a night over that side of the island. We’d definitely visit again, and with another flat above the ground floor we could go with friends and all stay together.

Amazing apartment amazing position for exploring relaxing and batting a taste for Sicily!

Thank you Rosario. Your apartment was fantastic. We were only 2 but the place was so big most families could visit comfortably. Everything we needed was there including bikes beach chairs and umbrellas! Car parking on site was a bonus. Transfer from airport was easy as the road networks put some UK roads to shame. The apartments position on a small back road with access to the wonderful beach and bar restaurant owned by Rosario completed the package for us. The railway station is nearby for non drivers with the local bus route adding to the transport network puts the apartment as the perfect base to beach it, sightsee or just stay put! We intend to return soon to our latest discovery.

Leider war die Ferienwohnung in einem sehr schlechten, dreckigen und mit Schimmel befallenen Zustand. Wir haben die Ferienwohnung nach einem Tag fluchtartig verlassen und den Rest des Urlaubs spontan in einer anderen Unterkunft zugebracht. Die Rückabwicklung über FEWO war super!

Ausgeschrieben ist hier eine Villa. Letztendlich besteht die Villa aus zwei Ferienwohnungen, eine oben und eine unten. Wir haben die untere Wohnung bezogen. Das Grundstück ist schön gestaltet. Die Wohnung selbst ist leider sehr abgewohnt und nicht sauber gewesen (Bilder im Anhang). Es befanden sich zahlreiche Blutflecken an der Wand. Diese wurden teilweise mit Aufklebern versucht zu überdecken. In der Dusche bildete sich bereits Schimmel. Die Kommunikation bezüglich des Check-In gestaltete sich ebenfalls sehr schwierig. Anweisungen wie wir ins Haus gelangen, erhielten wir einen Tag vor Ankunft. Es heiß, es würde bei Anreise ein Mitarbeiter vor Ort sein, der den Check in durchführt. Nach zahlreichen Nachrichten meinerseits, kam dieser erst 3! Tage später. Anweisungen zum Check-out gab es ebenfalls nicht. Die dazugebuchten Handtüchter hatten leider teilweise ebenfalls Flecken. Pro Bett waren zwei kleine Kopfkissen vorhanden. Eine richtige Bettdecke gab es nicht. Leider entsprach der Aufenthalt nicht unserer Vorstellung.

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt.Der Strand "Spiaggia Gorgo Lungo" ist in der Nähe und Empfehlenswert.Mit einen Auto ist man gut beraten, da sonst doch alles weit weg ist. Auch sehr zu Empfehlen in nur wenigen Laufminuten die Bar "A chiana".Es befinden sich 2 Ferienwohnungen in diesem Haus, wir hatten die untere. Nachbarn waren nicht zu hören. Auf Reklamationen ist die Vermieterin sofort eingegangen.Minuspunkte:- wie in Italy üblich Strom, Bettwäsche usw. muss seperat bezahlt werden (bei uns ca. 10 Tage 250,-).- Nur ein Schlüssel, wir waren 2 Paare, eins geht aus, das andere bleibt zuhause. Man hat keien Zutritt mehr auf das Grundstück. Und muss die anderen anrufen.Also Empfehlung meinerseits.

Très belle villa avec beau jardin et proche de la mer (environ 10mn à pied)Les points négatifs :- très peu de vaisselle (même pour 6)- cafetière pour 2 personnes seulement- absence de grille-pain (toaster amené sur demande)- obligation de tout acheter en arrivant car il n'y a absolument rien dans les placards. La plupart des locataires venant en avion, ils laissent forcément quelques indispensables (sel, poivre, huile, liquide vaisselle, éponge ... entre autres), ce que nous avons fait d'ailleurs.- l'annonce précise "villa entière" or il y a un appartement loué au dessus

Villa très bien placée, calme, parking pouvant accueillir 3 voitures, à 300 m d'une plage sauvage et propre, supermarché à 5 minutes en voiture très pratique pour les courses, proche de Cefalu.Villa propre, climatisée, literie confortable, jardin et terrasse agréables. Point d'attention absent de l'annonce sauf dans un avis : la villa comprend 2 appartements, un au RDC (3 chambres, 2 salles de bain) et un à l'étage.

Aufenthalt ist in Ordnung !

Aufenthalt ist gut, Lage sehr schön, Ausstattung des Hauses ist alles dabei was man braucht. Was hingegen ein wenig bitter schmeckt, aber das ist in Italien üblich, sind die versteckten Kosten! Bett- und Küchenwäsche, was üblich dazu gehört, Kosten extra für jeden Bewohner. Kosten für die Energie, was auch üblich sein sollte, Koten für jeden Bewohner und pro Tag auch extra. Die Klimaanlage kann nicht immer laufen, läuft mit einem Schlüssel. Um die Haustüre zu schliessen brauchst du den Schlüssel musst der Schlüssel der Klimaanlage genommen werden, da der Hausschlüssel am Schlüssel und am Garagentor *plombiert* ist! D.h., du kommst NICHT aus dem Grundstück raus wenn du die Klima nicht abstellst! Ist zwar clever gelöst, dient aber dem Kunden nicht! Schliesslich haben wir für die Energie "EXTRA" bezahlt! Sollte mit den Eigentümer unbedingt gelöst werden...

Schöner Familienurlaub

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Küche war bestens mit Kochutensilien ausgestattet. Nur an Salz, Pfeffer etc. mangelte es. Das müsste man sich mitbringen oder die Gewürze vor Ort neu kaufen. Das Haus befindet sich in schöner Lage fußläufig zum Meer.
