Hughes is a tiny home for two â just enough space, and exactly the right amount. Queen bed under the eaves, private hot tub on the deck, fire pit stocked and ready for the night ahead.
Hughes is part of a small collection of tiny homes â four in all, tucked close together, each with its own private outdoor space and all part of the same little community at Notestone Reserve. Privacy fencing and planted trees do the work of keeping things quiet and separate. Most guests stay entirely in their own lane â hot tub, fire pit, patio â and that's exactly how it's designed. The game room is there when you want it, and easy to ignore when you don't.
Named for Langston Hughes â whose work found beauty and weight in everyday life â it's one of four tiny homes here, each designed for couples or solo travelers who want to unplug without giving up the good stuff.

đșïž What's Nearby
Notestone sits in the heart of the Hocking Hills, close enough to hit two or three trails in a day and still be back in time for the fire pit.
Rock House â 7 minutes
Conkle's Hollow â 15 minutes
Old Man's Cave â 20 minutes
Ash Cave â 26 minutes
Cedar Falls, Cantwell Cliffs, and the rest of the state park system are all within a short drive as well.
đ¶ About the WiFi
WiFi is included, but satellite internet in Hocking Hills has its limits. Most guests find the inconsistency easier to accept once they're in the hot tub. We aren't able to issue refunds for WiFi interruptions.
đż A Note on the Setting
We're in a wooded area, and while we stay on top of regular pest control, the occasional ladybug or curious spider showing up is just nature doing its thing.
đ A Few House Rules
We're a small, family-owned operation, and keeping Notestone calm and well-kept is a group effort. A few things we ask:
âą No parties or events, including bachelor/bachelorette groups. And no glitter â it never, ever goes away.
âą Only registered guests on the property
âą No smoking, vaping, fireworks, ATVs, hunting, or weapons
âą No commercial photography or videography without written approval
âą Hot tub: use the striped towels provided and keep the cover on between soaks
âą Septic-safe: flush toilet paper only; no garbage disposal at the sink
âą 4WD/AWD recommended during winter months
Check-in: 4:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM
âïž Before You Arrive
All guests sign a simple renter agreement once you book. We'll send it over â quick, painless, and it helps us take good care of you and everyone else on the property.
