Lovely stay with a incredible view!

The space, comfortable beds, and VIEW! Aside from the uphill hike up to the town, which is clearly unavoidable, there is little to improve.

Fantastic lodging and location

This is one of my favorite places I've stayed at - the interior was comfortable, clean, and so cozy, plus the view from the unit is incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved having this as our base. The people working here were also so nice and helpful, giving us excellent advice on where to eat and explore in the area. Would gladly recommend this place to friends and family (and hope to stay there again in the future!)

A dream stay in the Alps!

What a wonderful stay here in Wengen. The description of the house says it all "Panorama." The minute you step into the chalet and onto the balcony, Wow what a view! We even managed to see the milkyway at night from the balcony, a moment we will never forget. The place is clean and communication is top notch. If you are traveling with any elderly in your group or if you have any leg or knee issues please keep in mind there is a steep walk of about 10 minutes to the train station. However, they do provide shuttle service free of charge but once a day only which does come in handy. My suggestion is use the shuttle service in the mornings and walk it down at night. It's much easier to walk it down then up. But if you're planning to stay here you will not regret it. We didn't want to leave and I'm positive you will not want to either. Thank you Rachel and staff for making our stay memorable.

Poorly furnished

We recently stayed a few nights in the apartment. This is an expensive rental and as such there is a lot lacking. There is no comfortable sitting area, the furniture is sparse and cheap. The kitchen, however, was well equipped. There is a very large tub in the master bath which is inconvenient to run but very nice to use. There are no outlets by the master bed. Weirdly small closet spaces. Nice balcony, but little in the way of furniture. The website pictures look like the flat is well furnished, its not.

Surpassed Expectations!

My husband and I were looking for an apartment with a great view, full kitchen, away from the centre of town but not a crazy climb. This penthouse not only met all our expectations but surpassed them. The view was spectacular and there were cattle with their cowbells that would wonder beneath our balcony at some point each day. The building's elevator opened directly into our apartment on the 3rd floor. We had our own laundry rm on the main floor with a sauna, also. It was about a 7-8 minute gradual downhill from the town centre to the outdoor elevator that took us down to building which reduced effort getting to the unit. Alpine Holiday were great communicators before, during and after the visit. Their office was a 1 minute walk from the train station. We picked up groceries two doors away at the Co-op and then they took us, our luggage and groceries in a van down to the unit which was fantastic! At the end of the stay, we arranged for the van to pick us up and take us to the train station. Can't say enough about this unit and the service we had. It made our Switzerland experience in the mountains a truly memorable one!

We loved our stay in Wengen at Rachel’s Alpine Holiday Penthouse

We loved our stay in Wengen at Rachel’s Alpine Holiday Penthouse. The place was so clean, the master bath/shower was amazing, the kitchen was fully stocked and it provides beautiful views. There was a pasture of cows wearing Swiss cowbells right under our place that liked to wake me up every morning, but it was well worth it. We’d love to come back again.
