Welcome to your new favorite vacation home nestled on a hillside lot within the Terry Peak subdivision with amazing views - Fish Upon a Star! This modern take on a cabin is complete with a 2-stall garage, 7-person hot tub, amazing open concept full of natural light and windows with an amazing view, and a deck that you'll enjoy sitting around the fire table and taking in the view with the aroma of ponderosa pine trees!

Located in the heart of the northern Black Hills recreational corridor and within a mile of the main Stewart Lodge of the Terry Peak Ski resort, there's an abundance of outdoor recreation within minutes of your door. You could be jumping on your ATV/UTV and riding around the local trails, strapping up your skis/snowboard and enjoying a day riding the ski resort, hiking some local trails or just enjoying some rest and relaxing while sitting on the deck with a view. Spearfish Canyon with its rim-rock canyon walls, great short hikes to two waterfalls, and there's some amazing trout fishing and hiking trails as well just 15-minutes away. Deadwood is a short 15 minute taxi ride away full of great gambling options, restaurants, and year-around festivals/concerts! Major attractions like Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, Black Elk Peak, and Devil's Tower can all be accessed within an easy 1-hour drive from the property as well. Whether you're visiting for an adventure filled vacation or just a peaceful trip away from the city, Fish Upon A Star is a perfect location for your Black Hills vacation.

The cabin itself will surely be one of the best parts of your vacation. With an open-concept, the living, dining room and kitchen seamlessly come together great for entertaining and enjoying time with your family and friends. The main living room is filled with floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the surrounding trees and Black Hills! The partially covered and wrap-around deck is just off the kitchen area and has great views as well and comes complete with a gas grill and fire table. There's the master bedroom on the main level with a bathroom. As you go up into the loft, there's a seating area that works great as an office and another bedroom with attached bathroom. The lower level has a nice and cozy living room with TV, mini wet bar, and a walk out to the patio with 7-person hot tub! The cabin has Starlink internet that's reliable with great speeds, and all the TVs are Smart TVs with access to YouTube TV with 50+ channels. You'll also get access to the 2-stall garage that has a 220V outlet for electric vehicles - very unique to the area! There's also a section of the driveway with a pull off that would fit a trailer.

Fish Upon a Star will be one of those cabins you reminisce about for years to come. We welcome you on your next Black Hills Adventure!

Beautiful House with amazing views

This property was great for our work group attending an event at Terry Peaks. The house was very large and had plenty of room for everyone in our group. The views were spectacular and it was right next door to the Ski resort. Also located just minutes from Deadwood which was great. I highly recommend this house!

A view for miles

Newly built with a view that went on for miles! Well appointed with all the comforts including Wi-Fi and streaming at every TV for the few moments you won’t be skiing, 4-wheeling, hiking, fishing or hanging out with 500k new biker friends in Sturgis. Just a pleasure to enjoy this property .

Beautiful place!

Everything went very smoothly from booking our stay to check in and our time there. The host was prompt getting us easy check in information. The cabin was exactly as stated. Beautiful place with a beautiful view! The only issue, which we knew from the reviews, was the deck having sap on it. Not a big enough issue to complain about in our opinion and certainly didn’t affect our stay. Would highly recommend this place. Look forward to returning in the future!

The couch is comfortable, but not enough ways to recline and relax. Beds were comfortable but a lack of even one Cloths Hanger in the closet made it awkward to even hang one dress shirt. The bathrooms were fine but could have used a better cleaning. For the price I would expect to have perfectly clean bathrooms and couple of hangers to hang cloths on. I would recommend that they make the address numbers larger. We had alot of people turning around in our driveway or even knocking on our door thinking they were at the neighbors house. All in all it's a great place, but for what we paid it's only worth 3 stars on an overall.

Secluded Gorgeous Cabin

The property is beautiful and very new. The view from the cabin is breathtaking! We enjoyed our stay. The communication from the realtor was prompt and thorough. There are a couple of things to note. The property is three stories and the temperature on the bottom floor was extremely cold in order to make the main floor comfortable. Outside of the kitchen and a couple of laundry pods, you must bring all necessities with you. There are no bathroom amenities or hangers in the closets.

We loved using the hot tub, and we were really looking forward to using the upper deck for grilling, sitting by the fire table, eating outside, and generally appreciating the view. Unfortunately the heat had caused the wood in the deck to leak extremely sticky sap all over, and the fire tables knob was broken off. I messaged the staff right away and was told they would bring some mats the next day. They never came and I received no other communication from them despite reaching out a couple more times during our 4 night stay.
