Handy place to stay

The Clayton was in a good spot, within walking distance of the city centre but not too close, meaning that it was very easy to drive there too. The room was nice, and the curtains were particularly good - nice and dark. The shower had a very small spray, but the water was nice and warm. The bar was pleasant, and the breakfast was fine too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Property was good location close to city central. We checked in at a later time, but the check in process took some time as the staff was focused on talking to their colleague rather than providing check in information. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Only down side was the TV which has a blue light when turned off so that proved to be distracting, that we had to cover it. Parking was also a hassle, as the underground hotel car park was pricey for hotel customers

On arrival the car park was easy to navigate. The staff were very informative and helpful. We didn't use the online checking, preferring to speak to people. We booked for breakfast for the following day and paid for the car park at the same time. This gave us the flexibility to move the car if needed. The rooms were spacious and clean and we have no complaints about our stay
