Cheak in was quick and staff was nice and friendly Room was comfortable and everything you needed Bathroom sink was that close to the toilet infront you had a job to sit on it but would be good if you was sick head would be in the sink and you could sit down. Shower was in the middle of the bath and shower curtain stuck to you taps and controls all in the way so not a good experience Bar was very nice with plenty of different areas to chill Breakfast plenty of choice but hot food was only luck warm didn't seem to be many staff around in dinning room so tables not cleaned away and wiped down and set ready for you so that was a let down Car park was good to get parked and lift brought up into the hotel pay Machines in the hotel to pay for packing before you left Hotel was in a good location close to town and 5min walk to train station with easy access to roads when travelling by car Room was quite comfortable clean & good night sleep

I loved how clean and modern it was, room was in excellent condition. The only downside was in check in on line, we had booked an executive room with breakfast all included in the price. But when we went to check in it asked us to upgrade to breakfast for an extra £14 each ( it was already included) also for an extra amount as well we could do a late checkout but when i went to the desk the excutive room already has this included in the price. We could have ended up paying more for what was already covered.

The Clayton is alright, it is comfortable enough but the food really lets it down. Lazy kitchen practices, poor ingredients and under engaged staff mean you'd be better off going into town and finding a restaurant off site. Over £30 for a steak which was drenched in salt, badly cooked with chalky undercooked chips.
