This is a nice place to stay if going to Weiss Lake. The cabin was petfect, the dock was amazing. What i didnt realize is after looking at the lake conyours, this is one of the best locations on the lake. My wife and I will definitely be coming back!

Nice little place.

The house is very cute little place for a stay on the lake. The bedroom with 2 beds had several dead bugs along the wall, maybe just need cleaned a little better. Overall house was very cute. There are, I believe, 62 steps down to the dock, where the kids lived jumping off and enjoying the water. Thank you for having us. Loved the painting on the dining room wall. Best view around.

Our favorite memory of this little gem would be the view! The host were very helpful and responded quickly with our questions. The home was well appointed, clean and provided all we needed for a wonderful stay. Again, the expansive view from the covered porch was unmatched! This house had everything we needed for our two day get-away. Great location, very clean and well kept lake house. Beautiful views of Lake Weiss. If you cannot climb stairs, this is not the place to rent. Thank you!

Great little lake house

Just wanted a short 2-day out of town trip. We’ve always liked cabins and cottages near lakes or mountains. This is an awesome house. Plenty of room, comfortable furniture, well furnished, and spectacular lake views. If you’re a boater or fisherman, or just want a fun little getaway, gotta check this place out.

Great weekend getaway

My husband and I, and our dog Gabbi, stayed here for the weekend. We had everything we needed right here, and never had to leave. There was a kitchen with all the necessities, with a door opening right on the deck, with a gas grill for cooking the steaks and whatever he caught. He was able to bring his boat and tie to the dock, which was great. (There is a boat ramp a couple minutes down the road at Yellow Creek Fish Camp). We'd definitely like to stay here again.

Beautiful lake view property! Had a great weekend-rented pontoon from Weiss Lake Marina and they delivered and picked up- Great for adult get away- it is a beautiful view but to get to water is many steps down to the lake-but views all day if you are happy up top! Just know walk down and up is a work out but we loved the stay

This beautiful lake home was the perfect getaway for our family Thanksgiving. The location provides a peaceful view of Weiss Lake and its wildlife like haring, bevers, eagles, and more. The hosts of the property were an absolute pleasure and went above and beyond to accommodate our family during the holiday weekend. The kitchen was stocked with everything our needs required, as well as the rest of the house. The hosts even went as far as supping us with a local care package and books, board games, and toys for our children to play with. Local experience was grate nice people and good food. This was the first destination Thanksgiving our small family had, and we really enjoyed the overall experience. We highly recommend Lookout Nook on Weiss Lake and will be returning in the summer months.

Ten grill refs to be replaced. We almost had a grease fire. It is filled with freeze and needs to be cleaned/replaced. The kitchen needs an exterminator because there were small cockroaches. Everything else was perfect.

Quiet neighborhood with limited traffic, perfect part of the lake for low-key getaway. Property overall is functional with basic amenities. Listing description is accurate, but future guests should be better informed.Concrete, sloping driveway in good condition.There are dozens of steps to the water. That's not a hit on the property, just a fact for the hillside location.The kitchen/back deck is on the lower level. There is a narrow staircase inside the house between the TV, bedroom, and bathroom.You will climb to the top every time you need to use the bathroom.No WiFi, if that concerns you.Wooden steps in need of repair were reported to the manager who promised to address them.It is evident from the aging condition of deck, steps, dock, swing, and dock ladder that the property owners are not making any significant improvements to the unit at this point, just basic maintenance and cleaning. Everything is functional and acceptable for a VRBO in this price range, in my opinion.Linens were clean, pillows and bedding were comfortable, and bathroom was very clean. Light odor initially, but dissipated once the plumbing had been used a few times.Kitchen appliances work well, primary surfaces in the house were clean. Cobwebs and dead bugs noted in a few corners on the kitchen level, but not unreasonable. Perhaps some time had passed since previous cleaning.Future guests should bring: normal teaspoons, normal size cereal bowls, and sharp knives.

Amazing Views!

I could get used to this lake living! This was a wonderful little lake house. The views were amazing! I spent most of my time on the different multi-level decks or the swing on the dock. The house had everything that we needed for a great and relaxing vacation. We ate every meal outside. There is lots of shade on the decks and was so wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the views. We did take some zero gravity chairs with us and placed them on the largest deck and watched the boaters and jet-skis zip by. This is an older home, but you can tell that the hosts/owners have done a great job with it---it is very well maintained and the grounds are just lovely with all that they have done, and it has several level spots if your pets come with you. The kitchen also has everything you could need. One thing to note, If you have mobility issues, the kitchen and deck access is downstairs, and there are a lot of steps to reach the dock, BUT the views and the swing on the dock are more than worth it. There is also the added convenience of still being close to places to eat if you don't want to cook and a Walmart about 10 miles or so away. You are also close to Little River Canyon, and that is a fun curvy, drive with beautiful scenic views and multiple stops for pictures.. I would absolutely book this property with these hosts again.
