Kaha Lani 124, Oceanfront on Kauai's Coconut Coast

Kaha Lani Unit 124 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath ocean front ground floor corner unit with magnificent views. Beautifully remodeled with porcelain floors throughout, a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The Master bedroom has a King bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds which can be made into a King. Enjoy views of sunrises over the ocean, whales during their seasonal migration to Hawaii and the occasional cruise ships that pass by. Sunset views can be enjoyed from the front side of unit.

The fully equipped kitchen is both lovely and very convenient for preparing meals and snacks. And, for grilling your favorite foods, the barbecue area is nearby. You will want to visit the local Sunshine Markets for fresh produce to include in your culinary creations.

Kaha Lani is centrally located on the East side of Kauai near Lydgate Park & Beach and is surrounded by County land and the Wailua golf course which gives it a very private and serene ambiance, being the only condominium in this immediate area. It is only 15 minutes north of the Lihue airport and two miles to Kapaa town restaurants and stores. The Kaha Lani Condominium complex is not a high rise and has Polynesian styled roof lines, abundant tropical gardens and palatial lawns. The property has a tennis court, a heated swimming pool and BBQ grills, all for your enjoyment.

The condo grounds are quiet, secluded and perfect for a romantic getaway. If you are a golfer, you will find Wailua Golf Course right next door! This is a beautiful ocean front public course (reasonably priced) which is rated one of the top municipal golf courses in the nation.

Lydgate beach park, is steps away with two man made reefs for protected swimming for adults and children. There is also a paved walking path along the ocean fronting Kaha Lani, or if you prefer to walk on the beach, during low tide you can walk almost three miles of wide white sand beach.

Activities nearby include: seasonal swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, helicopter and boat tours, tennis, golfing, surfing, fishing and shopping.

Awesome beachfront place

This guy lace was great! The manager was very responsive when we needed anything. The porch looks right out at the ocean. Nice breeze off the ocean. 200’ walk to a beautiful beach. No AC took a little adjusting to but with fans we were just fine.

We had such a great time here! The place had a spectacular view, was super clean, and felt like home! No complaints here! Was also super nice to be provided with beach essentials such as chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear! Would definitely stay here again!

Great time in Lihue

The condo was perfect for our family of four. Easy trip from the airport to the condo. It is a bit of a walk to the access point to swim but we mostly used our location to visit the island. The place has great beach items and beach towels which made it easy to visit different beaches. Quiet (except for the chickens) and it was still cool even without AC. The view of the ocean and sound of the waves was wonderful. Would stay here again without question.

Can’t wait to book again!

Amazing property, gorgeous views and so relaxing. My wife and 2 girls stayed here after staying 5 days a a nice hotel for a work conference. We enjoyed the tucked away feel of the property and the convenience to the island. The property has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Minor maintenance issues, some cabinets don’t stay closed. Absolutely the best water pressure in the master shower. My wife fell in love with a hen and her chicks. That would come to the screen to ask for food when they knew she was there.

The positives: THE VIEW! Spectacular! Needs improvement: The inside pictures on the listing are NOT what you're getting. Was advertised as a 2 king bed 2 bath. We walked in to a king and 2 twin beds. I called, and they said they would push the 2 twins together to make a king, which they did. A minor hassle. We were asked if we "requested" 2 king beds. I didn't know we had to request it since it was listed that way? The kitchen cabinets are falling off and in disrepair. The stainless steel appliances were rusty from the salt water.. understandable but looks like garbage. Any food on the top shelf of the fridge will freeze. Maybe it's time for a new one. (We had a 10 day stay and we're not left with enough paper essentials such as paper towels, garbage bags and toilet paper). For the price, I would think all of these essentials would be included. There aren't any spices, oil, ice cube trays etc. be prepared to buy your own. Overall the furniture was dated and not comfortable at all. Glad we spent most of our time out adventuring. The roosters will wake you up loudly every morning right outside the bedroom windows so hopefully you don't want to sleep in. The pool was average, no hot tub. The beach access walkway out front had caved in and was roped off, you could get around it but an eye sore. The beach is beautiful, rugged and only swimmable if you're a strong swimmer. Would I stay again? Probably not.

Girls trip

The location of this condo is pretty ideal. Easy drive to Kapaa or downtown Lihue. Ten minutes to the airport. It was a nice, quiet setting. Didn’t hear any loud groups or parties going on at all. The condo description said we had two king sized beds but there was a king sized bed and two twin beds in the other room. Plenty of paper products and soap were already there. Easy check in and out process. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stay!

Great location! Had a few issues once we got to the facility and management responded quickly. However, issues continued throughout the stay, nothing that caused us not to enjoy the stay. Place could be cleaned better and maintained somewhat better. Needs freshening up a bit and a good cleaning would help.

Perfect Spot

This condo is perfect! It has everything you need. The best part is the morning sunrise. Make a cup of coffee and sit on the lanai. The sun rises directly in front of you! The outdoor closet has everything for the beach! Boogie boards, chairs, snorkels and fins. Kitchen has all utensils and kitchen appliance you will need. It does have a washer and dryer in the unit however, the dryer was broke while we were there. It was not a problem as they have a small laundry room behind the management office. The machines in the laundry room take credit card. It was $3 to dry our clothes. The beds are very comfortable and there are 2 full baths. The location is central to Lihue and Kapa'a. Just a 30 minute ride to Poipu. We did not venture north. I would definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to Kauai.

We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. Our favorite part was the beautiful area we were in, enjoying the spectacular sunrises over the ocean every morning. The rental was beautiful and well supplied, from kitchen utensils to beach towels and boogie boards and beach chairs. I gave it 4 stars only because it would have been perfect with air conditioning. However, the ceiling fans and stand up fans in almost every room helped immensely, especially at night.

Great location all the way around

Could not have asked for a better location for our 7-day stay in Kauai. Our plan was to be strategically located so as to allow us to hop up and down to the north and southwest parts of the island “relatively” painlessly, while enjoying the great and tranquil views (both the ocean and the roosters) from the condo during breakfast every morning. Another bonus was we were short steps away from Lydgate Beach which is both lovely and “deserted”. Mission accomplished! An added plus was that we were only 10 minutes from Lihue Airport and so were able to leave at a leisurely pace for our morning flight home. We also liked the proximity to many shops and “reasonably” priced restaurants as opposed to other parts of Kauai. Only a few complaints but all minor: the footsteps from the upper floor were easily transmitted through the ceiling; the toilet in the master BR was not securely bolted down to the floor; not enough shelf/counter space in both bathrooms; inadequate supply of paper towels and dishwasher pods. However, overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

First time staying in Kapaa area - loved this location!

The location was really fantastic and we loved having the paved walk along the water front for a morning stroll. The property is well represented in the description and photos and the kitchen was equipped with what we needed to have breakfast in every morning. The beds were quite comfortable (and we're picky about that) and we found plenty of beach accessories and towels for our daily adventures to the falls and beaches. Super impressed with the property care and maintenance - we loved being able to hear the ocean all the time (despite the blustery weather we had). We would definitely return here!!

Wonderful view and location; some maintenance issues.

This condo is wonderfully located with direct access to the ocean across a lawn and the walking/bike path that runs 8 miles on the east side of the island. The view is stunning. The condos are well-insulated from the neighbors and quiet, except the roosters, of course. Access is easy, no stairs. When we arrived, we noted the clock over the sink in the kitchen had a dead battery. There is no clock in one bedroom. After a few days, we noticed the bathroom sink in the front bathroom was leaking on to the floor. At the direction of property management, we turned off the water to that sink, leaving only one operational bathroom sink. Annoying. The only broom in the unit was thrashed with straws hanging off and broken, and clumps of dust bunnies or something clinging to it. These were relatively minor complaints.

Stunning views from your lanai

The online photos and descriptions of the property were accurate. The views from your lanai are spectacular and we enjoyed our breakfast while watching the sunrise and the waves. The decor was tasteful and the condo has been modernized. The condo is well stocked in the kitchen, everything you need and more. We appreciated the ample supply of towels and beach accessories. The beach chairs, cooler and beach towels were a great addition. The well maintained grounds are lush and flowers are stunning, The insuite laundry was very convenient. The only thing missing was AC as our stay was during the tropical ‘storms’ and it was unusually humid. Overall I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it. It’s maintained with care and thoughtfulness, as if it were your own vacation home. Mahalo!

Great spot!

We loved this condo! It was so relaxing. I have never gone on vacation and instantly relaxed before. The view was stunning. The unit was very quiet (minus the roosters but that's Kauai!). We absolutely loved watching the sunrise from this unit and walking on the beach. The location is only 8 minutes from the airport (and Costco!), and we were about a half an hour from the north or south side, so it is about as centrally located as you can be. We decided we spent too much time driving to other sides of the island and really enjoyed the east side too. The lanai and main living spaces were terrific, and we loved the swivel chairs as others mentioned. The bedrooms were smaller than the pictures, but it was fine. It has a very nice in unit washing machine and dryer which was was not clear to me in the description. We also had access to the outside storage area which has boogie boards, nice chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, noodles, and some snorkel sets. We donated a snorkel set to the closet too. I would stay here again the next time I come to Kauai. My only suggestion would be there weren't enough beach towels but we used a couple older house towels. Kitchen was also well-appointed.
