I don't have very high expectations in the "budget" range hotels. I don't mark down for lack of updates, minimal amenities and even moderate damage really doesn't really bother me. The one thing I always expect from any lodging is cleanliness. This is where the Seahorse faltered miserably. The room itself wasn't extremely bad but the bathroom was completely unacceptable. The sink and counter were obviously the only thing cleaned for who knows how long. The bathtub and shower were very grimy and moldy, not just staining but build up that could be cleaned. The floor had very not been swept, much less mopped. There were braces rubber bands under the counter and in the corners and drips of who knows what on the tile. The very worsted of it was that there was there was very obviously menstrual fluid on the top and bottom of the front of the very tiny toilet seat. We have a pretty high tolerance for oversight but this is unacceptable.

The front desk staff could have been a little more friendly. Our room had an odor that was not good. The bathroom is tiny although there is a heather under the sink that was nice. My aunt and uncle who also got a room there and their room had hair in the bed, poop in the toilet, and just not cleaned at all. We paid close to a 100 each for a one night stay that was not worth it. We will not being stay here again.
