Staff: The ONLY reason this stay is not listed as terrible is the staff are super friendly and the location is right on the beach. I honestly feel bad for the staff trying to do everything they can to help, but there was not a single person who I saw that did not have issues overall. Was charged in advance even though I selected pay at hotel, which 100% is a horrible business practice and the most common complaint I am finding. The property charged my card a day in advance without authorization, and when I asked why they blamed hotels.com and stated they did it, even though that was not the case. The room we stayed in should not be rented under any circumstances. Carpet was torn, what appears to be mold in the corners, and old torn up furnishings. I would sleep in my car before staying at an OYO property again based solely off poor business practices and then lying about it. There are so many bad reviews about business practices when you look up OYO in general that I am baffled as to how they are still on Hotels.com? Truly feel bad for staff working there as they were good and tried to help. Having used hotels.com for a long time I now question using them going forward based off this one stay.

After we saw the condition and cleanliness of our room, we turned around and left. We just had to get out of there. We noticed two couples were checking in with their own pillows and sheets! That should have been a clue! Holiday Inn Express seemed like a five star hotel in comparison. Do not stay here; Motel 6 is a safer option.

This is my second time staying in one of the Jacuzzi suites. The one that I stayed in this time was a little smaller, but just perfect. Everything was nice and clean checking in was a breeze the Nice lady at the front desk was very accommodating as was the nice lady that worked later in the evening answered my questions. I was a little disappointed at checkout as the manager was working and was not very receptive. He was kind of Kirt and well kind of rude. Sort of put a damper on my stay. I will be back, but I do want to express how his demeanor just sort of soured everything. Everything else was immaculate and perfect. Also, the continental breakfast that is offered in the morning was delicious. I tried one of the waffles this time and it was amazing. Found lots of nice rocks on the beach at low tide and got to see all the fishermen out there fishing for the king salmon coming in. I will be back.
