Overall it was a nice stay. Communication was a bit lacking as checkin instructions were not sent u til 1 hr prior. Emailed instructions came across harsh with some areas. 5 fee for not empting the trash, 55 fee is something was moved out of place etc. I get it, you want the property left as we entered, but the approach comes off as harsh. A tip envelope left for housekeeping, why when the list of instructions
Anyone who has stayed in this area as much as my family has over the last 40 years will definitely have a deep fondness and appreciation for this area but will also admittedly point out how most of these older resorts and complexes are somewhat outdated etc. Although that is 100% true, there is still much timeless charm to experience. The Riverfront residence we stayed at was very comfortable but outdated in its amenities, other than a single functioning flat screen and same basic wi-fi. But we would gladly stay there again, even wishing weâre still there NOW!!!
While it was reasonably priced and the reviews said it was dated, that would have been ok. But there was black something all along the tubs where they met the tile, the vents in the bathrooms were covered in dust, the blades of the living room fan were covered in dust, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling in the master bath and the living room and in the master bath there were brown marks on the wall by the hand towels......
other than those things, it was ok
Loved our stay. Was great enjoying morning coffee on the deck listening to the river. Condo was very spacious and had more than we needed. It was a bit outdated but did the trick for our family. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean. A lot of cobwebs and spiders. Linda and Susan from Loon management were very responsive.
Condo was great! The location was was beautiful with the river right behind. The only thing that I would recommend in the future for summer stays is ceiling fans, box fans did an okay job but was still warm at night. Location was AMAZING close to everything. Would recommend this place for both summer and winter vacations
We went up on a monday-thursday mini vacation. The first day we were there we were all sleeping. It was 8:00 am. Out of all the building that they could work on there was a big hydrolic lift and they were using ii to do some type of work outside our unit. Then the second morning my husband woke when the maintenance man walked into our unit using his key. We were all asleep and it was 8:30. He just walked into the unit knowing we were there. My husband saked what he was doing walking into out unit. He wanted to know if they could take the furniture off the porch to paint the deck. My husband said no because one of the reasons we rented the unit was that it was right on the river and we could sit out there. When we left the unit later that morning my husband got paint on his clothes which ruined them. They had painted the door and we didn't know. The whole stay at the condo was a nightmare.
We rented this condo for several days of hiking and leaf-peeping and it fit our needs perfectly. The location was great and we enjoyed the view from the deck. We all slept well and the beds were very comfortable. Very homey and cozy condo!
Fabulous place - convenient to all the hiking areas we wanted.
Had a great time. Only suggestion is having perhaps an earlier check in time, and/or a later check out time. Upon check out, we had an issue with a lock not opening (we were locked in) but the maintenance person/ locksmith (John) was quite pleasant and helpful.
We would definitely return again .
