The size of the house was nice for our family. It had a wonderful view of the lake. Unfortunately, we came shortly after a major storm so the boat dock had been destroyed. But we were notified well in advance of the dock being totaled. The Owner was very responsive answering any questions we had during our stay.
We stayed at this property over Christmas while visiting family in the area. We own a lakehouse and this was a beautiful getaway that still felt like home to us. Beautiful property and amazing sunsets. Thank you for your hospitality.
Lights burned out over main eating area and no bulbs to replace
Fire alarm removed and wires hanging out
Tv in the bedrooms do work
Kitchen with tons of cabinets with nothing in them, there isnât even enough drinking glasses, we had to run the dishwasher 3 times in our 3 day stay
Cheap Keurig coffee pot with no sugar for coffee that was provided.
Sleeps 8 - the master has two full size beds, the bunk beds are up in a converted attic with a stairway that is illegal per code since the stairs do not even fit your foot & all the beds are either so soft you fall to the middle or have a spring in you back
Lost power the first morning - which was the most important day for us since it was my daughters graduation. We had to leave the house spend a ton of money on breakfast and all get ready in a my daughters one bedroom / one bathroom apartment.
No offer from the owner to reimburse us for anything.
Pots and pans that all need to be replaced - we actually brought a pan from our daughters to cook eggs in.
Doors do not latch
They sure do tell you multiple times about a fine if your outside past 10pm. We are on vacation - who comes in before 10pm?
Huge clump of hair left in the shower, areas of the house that have years of cob webs including right over the kitchen island
No fishing poles for the kids to fish off the dock.
Horse shoe pits not cleaned up so you can actually use them
Fire pit was a plus
For as much as we spent per night this was horrible.
Overall positive. Needs some attention to detail on a few things that maybe are planning to be fixed during the off season. Minor things like 3 doors don't latch due to strike plate misalignment (weather related possibly?). Dining room table overhead light doesn't stay on, and flickers. Possible wiring issue. Decided to leave it off. A few lamp bulbs need replaced. Owner was very accommodating and responsive. Would like to try again during warm weather and enjoy the lake. Very nice deck and view.
Lovely lakefront home. About 45 minutes to an hour from most Dallas attractions, and a nice and affordable alternative to a downtown hotel stay. Would be perfect for a week on the lake.
We drove up Friday And had a great evening indoor Playing indoor games which brought back old memories when the kids were small ,and a beautiful night overlooking the lake. Itâs a perfect Saturday morning Play great activities close by to do with the family and a perfect evening for a cookout. At the time you feel like youâre so far away from home but really youâre only a couple of minutes from all your local store. I definitely recommend.

We escaped the city for a couple days and enjoyed the lake house with 7 teenagers. This house is set up perfectly for kids. Lots to do and we never had to leave the house. All of the games kept the kids entertained and the beautiful lake views were an added bonus. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and jumped into the lake to swim for a bit.
We had a wonderful stay at Lake Lewisville. Clayâs home is very clean and comfortable. My favorite feature was definitely the spa tub. We definitely recommend staying here, you wonât be disappointed.
Inside and back yard is great and good place for small or large groups. Views are great. Cleanliness was a bit poor, not enough to ruin the stay but i did do too much cleaning on my vacation. So many spiders, even brought some home as webs have appeared in the car.
The house was beautiful, very nicely renovated. The lakeside dock and fire pit are beyond lovely in the Spring. We saw a Falcon , an Egret, and even got visited by a flock of pheasants! We saw a ton of ducks and even caught a few fish. Overall a great relaxing stay to unplug.
A few helpful suggestions, bring pans and casserile dish cookware, the house is very sparse on these, but the appliances are top notch! Also be sure and bring paper towels. The house does have paper napkins, silverware and great cups and glasses and dinnerware! If you want to fish bring your own rods and tackle, the dock is great to sit and cast a line out from. The neighbors are residents so this house is great for small families and couples with childten but not a party house. Oak Point police tailed us everywhere we went. They definitely have a safe area! Eating outside on the deck was a nice ending to a beautiful day! Highly recommend.
We just bought a house in the neighborhood (2 minutes away), so that tells you what we think of the area. We plan to book this gorgeous home anytime we have guests in town. If anyone finds our tiny silver Dyson remote, let me know!
