There is spectacular walking along the high ridges of the Fforest Fawer Geopark, plus scenic cycle rides or drives along the river. The area is home to the red kite, one of the UKâs most beautiful birds of prey. It is also the setting of numerous castle and historical sites set in stunning locations including Carreg Cennen, Newtwon House, Dinefwr Castle and Park and the Dolau Cothi Gold Mines (underground tours available). The National Botanic Garden of Wales, with its giant glass dome is well worth a visit at any time of year, while at the coast, Kidwelly Castle and Pembrey Country Park, with its 8 miles of sandy beaches, are must-see day trips. Property is fabulous for big family gatherings. Location is beautiful. Setting is peaceful and so relaxing. Close to Llandeilo, shops, walks etc. couldnât have asked for anything more.
Beautiful quiet location with lovely views. Cottage was clean and spacious. Three bedrooms had their own staircase. Kitchen was well stocked, had two ovens and plenty of seating. The plumbing needed attention as was quite noisy. The only suggestion is to have mattress toppers as three of our group found the beds quite hard.
More than happy with everything this property offered although the WiFi wasn't the best but I cant really fault it considering we were in the depths of Wales. If I had one critique it would be that I booked through Vrbo and expected to get all the info I required through Vrbo however the arrival instructions were distributed through a 3rd party site (cottages.com) which wasn't made apparent until I searched around a little. Otherwise excellent property and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
