Deep sea fishing and other water sports can all be enjoyed in Looe, along with woodland and coastal walks nearby.
To the east of the town is the historic city of Plymouth, with its National Marine Aquarium, theatres, cinemas, bowling and shopping, which can be reached from the historic village of Kingsand, right into Barbican, while to the west is Fowey, home to the royal sailing regatta and many galleries, shops and restaurants.
