The walls are paper thin. Could hear normal conversations above and to the sides. Shower has no water pressure so it basically fell down from the shower head. Air conditioner wasn’t the best. Need the fan in to drown out the adjacent rooms, but wouldn’t stay on long enough to do that. Overall a clean room. Super small. But with the paper thin walls, won’t be staying there again.

I was stayed here for one night because I had to be at the Manhattan beach pier early in the morning. The room was simple and had a mini fridge and microwave. It was great for an economical one night stay. The location was also convenient, close to Gelson's and Whole Foods.

I stayed here before and thought I'd give it another try when looking for the best rate for a civilized place near LAX that offered free parking. This was a night-before-a-flight stay. My first disappointment was that I had sent a message to the hotel asking for check-in an hour early than the standard check-in time. I never received a reply, but when I arrived around 2 PM, I was told, not too apologetically, that it was impossible - "We're sold out so we have no rooms cleaned yet" - rather unusual when check-in was only an hour later. When I returned around 4 PM, one of the managers was there to check me in. I mentioned my denied early check in, and she said that if she was there, she could have accommodated me. The room was clean and looked nice, but it seemed to be a bit small, perhaps due to the couch and coffee table in the "work" area (along with a desk that I used). A couch is nice, but its placement made it useless for sitting on it while watching TV. Some of the standard facilities were rather oddly implemented. For example, rather than a closet for hanging clothes, there was a board with four pegs on the wall equipped with overlapping hangers. It's a place to hang clothes, but it's awkward to put them up and take them down. The bathroom has no towel racks, and the attractive stall shower had no place to put soap and shampoo except for a ridge a few inches above floor level. The refrigerator ran, but didn't get cold. The manager brought me an ice chest.

Crazymaker management

I have rented here three times. The first 12 years ago: Because of that experience I didn't go back. Until I spoke to a woman who claimed it was okay. I made three reservations in Feb. Feb. 2, they gave me the "only queen bed in the motel" as it turned out it was fine albeit the disabled room. I left at the agreed upon time no problem and I made a reservation for Feb 4, in the "only Queen bed in the motel". I arrived at 3:30 Feb. 4, and was given a standard room so small that there was no place, I argued the I had reserved the queen and the clerk said that the standard bed was a queen; I dropped it and conceded to stay in that room for the sake of argument; 5 minutes later I realized the TV was broken. I reported it and they said no one was available to repair it but I could upgrade to a king for a fee which I paid. The shower reeked of rancid mold; the linoleum was peeling; the shower curtain black in places; I couldn’t decide were the smell was coming from so I donned my shower shoes and showered quickly rather than the intended bath. I left at the agreed upon time and informed the manager of the shower problem. I was still in town that night so I made a reservation for a standard room. When I arrived; the manager fabricated and alleged that I had rude conversations with "my wife"; he cancelled my reservation without notice; told me not to come back. I got a notice from the booking agent that my credit card would not process. All of this was strictly fabricated.
