Homewood Suites by Hilton – Agoura Hills I travel enough to know within minutes when a hotel is not it. Unfortunately, thanks to Expedia, we were locked in. Room #1: no hot water. At all. Cool cool cool. We switch rooms. Room #2: immediately notice the carpet, which looks dirty overall but also appears to have what genuinely looks like period blood on it. Not a shadow. Not a pattern. A stain that makes you pause and reconsider your life choices. The pull-out couch for my daughter deserves its own paragraph. In the first room, the couch cushions were so worn down they were maybe an inch thick—like sitting on compressed regret. In the second room, the couch was slightly better, but nothing was stocked. No sheets. No blankets. No pillows. Had to go to the front desk to ask for the basics that are normally… in the room. Evening rolls around and we think, “Let’s salvage this with the pool.” Nope. The outdoor hot tub had at least six inches of foam from kids who had clearly been marinating in it for hours. We turned around and went back to the room where I had to convince my daughter to take a bath instead, which felt ironic given the earlier hot-water situation. Now for bedtime—the main event. The bathroom fan sounds like a plane taking off. Then, while you’re sitting on the toilet, it begins making random, unpredictable noises that genuinely make you wonder who engineered this thing and whether they were okay at the time. Room was fine. Clean. Sheets and towels were deeply tragic. Veey thin. Scratchy. Staff was good. Breakfast was fine but deeply disappointed to see everything is plastic and disposvale. There is no reaspn to destroy the earth this hard. Also tje only newspaper was Epoch Times? Which os a deeply bizarre choice.

We really appreciated the friendly front desk accommodating our early check-in request since we had a surprise party to attend before check-in time. There was a cigarette smoke smell in the bedroom area, but it wasn’t too bad. The staff did offer to move us to another room the next day, but we were only booked there for one night. The room was spacious, breakfast was good with plenty of options, and the hotel and dining area were clean. Freeway noise was pretty loud in our room, so our earplugs helped (definitely recommend bringing some). Overall it was a good stay.

This stay did not meet expectations for the price paid. Missing amenities (no shampoo/conditioner/body soap), cleanliness concerns (floor had visible spots), and maintenance issues (towel rack detached, one light not working, loose outlet, shower curtain leaked water). Rhonda at the front desk provided excellent service.

Burners weren’t working in the stovetop. Remote was broken. They did fix it all quickly. Overall nice facility.

Nice room with comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel is older with very low sink and toilet in bathroom and old appliances.

Our first room had many issues including broken heater/air conditioner, phone, light bulbs, and toilet. After 3-4 hours and 2 maintenance visits, we were moved to a better room where everything worked.
