To start, the host communicated well after I booked my 3-night stay and was very helpful and informative. The building is beautiful, with small paintings and light fixtures that give it a charming antique feel. Built in the 1920s, it has a vintage vibe, and even the elevator is well maintained. The room was decent overall. The AC worked great, and the microwave and mini fridge were in good condition. However, the nightstand lamp didnât work because the knob was missing. The room also looked slightly different from the photos, missing small decor pieces like a rug. The bathroom is small but nice. The main shower pressure wasnât great, but the handheld option worked well. Some tiles were missing in the shower. The biggest issue was cleanliness. There were smudges on the walls, brown spots in the bathroom, hard water buildup on fixtures, chipped paint, dirty curtains, dust, eye contacts stuck on the nightstand, and a spiderweb near the TV. Overall, it has great potential but needs a deep cleaning. I did appreciate the overall atmosphere and location, and the stay was manageable for a short visit. However, attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance would significantly improve the experience. Small fixes like replacing broken items, addressing chipped surfaces, and thoroughly cleaning high-touch areas would go a long way. With these improvements, this place could easily match the charm of the building itself and provide a more comfortable and polished stays for future guests.
