This cozy 3-bedroom cottage near Taylorsville, Kentucky is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. With a private hot tub and a fireplace, you'll be able to enjoy the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor living. It's close to the lake and ideal for fishing and swimming.

Our 1600 sq. ft. cottage has 3 BEDROOMS. The first bedroom has 1 King bed and 1 Twin Pull-out bed, the second bedroom has 1 Queen bed, and the third bedroom has 2 Twin beds and 1 Trundle bed.

Get ready for your day in the 3 BATHROOMS. We'll provide you with toiletries, towels, and a hairdryer. Keep your clothes clean with the in-suite washer and dryer.

After a day relaxing by Taylorsville Lake, retreat to our comfortable air-conditioned LIVING AREA with a lovely fireplace. Curl up on the sofa and watch your favorite show on Amazon TV. You can easily connect with friends and family back home, courtesy of the complimentary Wi-Fi. In the evening, step out onto your private balcony and enjoy some fresh air or soothe your muscles in the private hot tub!

In the KITCHEN, you'll find a stove, an oven, a fridge and freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, dishes, basic cooking products, and a blender. Start your morning with a cup of coffee fresh from our in-suite coffee machine! For dinner, whip up a tasty meal on the charcoal grill.

There are a number of other amenities you're sure to enjoy when you stay at Cottage 34: The Old Fashioned, including access to a shared outdoor pool (open during the summer), volleyball courts, meeting and banquet facilities, and many hiking trails.

We recommend bringing a car to get around the area! You'll find parking available outside the cottage for up to 2 cars. Additional parking is available at the entrance of the community.

Spend a day fishing in Taylorsville Lake! Enjoy sunny days while golfing at Tanglewood Golf Course, a 6-minute drive away. If you don't feel like cooking, enjoy a tasty meal at Fiesta Mexicana or at Snappy Tomato Pizza.

You will have access to everything on the property including the private hot tub out on the deck, as well as the charcoal grill.

We recommend your own transportation as there is no public transportation. There are 2 parking spaces at the cottage, with plenty of additional parking near the pool or up at the front office. Please wear shoes walking around the grounds as there is gravel in some areas of the resort.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our needs, easily sleeping two families of four. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and hiking the trails. Short drive to Frankfort to Buffalo Trace Distillery as well. Will stay again!

Nice cottage for a getaway

The host was super responsive. The cottage was set in a nice & quiet neighborhood. Place had a lot of dead ladybugs and stink bugs but I think that was from the warm weather & perhaps it was not rented out for awhile. The hot tub was okay as a 2-person hot tub but a camera is on the back porch by the hot tub. (No, you cannot adjust the camera per rules.) A little TLC is required to get this place closer to perfect: laundry room door was falling off the track. There were only 3 metal spoons. And, if you like towels, there could be a few more added. Still, the place met our needs & the beds were comfortable. A bonus was the on demand water heater - no worries over a cold shower. Location gave a peak at Taylorsville Lake. We were there only for breakfast & sleeping so it was a nice place. Overall, it's worth renting again.

Great getaway

A great location for getting away for a few days. The kitchen was well-stocked and the house was exactly as described. We had an issue with the hot tub the first night but the manager was super responsive when I texted and took care of it right away. Wifi was strong and quick for folks who need to get some work done. Perfect for a bigger group who wants to escape the city while keeping the comforts of home.

Life near there lake

This little town has a small hometown feel and is not very commercialized. It’s perfect for what our family was looking for.
