Hosts were easy to reach, communicated proactively, and very helpful in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. The home was perfect for our size group especially with the multiple hanging out areas.
The house is amazing! We had 4 couples and it worked so well. The host was very kind and helpful, we had no issues. It was a wonderful vacation and would love to stay there again! The kitchen was very large with a great island and bar area attached for all us to hang out and a great gathering room attached that we all could lounge around in. Deer wondered the propertyâŠa beautiful safe area!
Awesome house with tons of character. Hosts were amazing - met us to walk us through the house and then said reach out if we need anything. Our friends loved hanging in the kitchen and great room and with plenty of beds and bedrooms for our group!
Property was very nice and suited our needs (6 couples). This is an old house, updated. Upper floors creaked a lot, noticeable, but somewhat charming also. The pool itself was closed (Autumn). The pool apartment was self-contained. The couple that stayed in it said the freeway nose a much, tv was not operative and the internet connection was very weak. Unfortunately, we had a walnut fall from a tree onto a vehicle that was parked in the designated parking area breaking a windshield. An insurance debate ensued between the owners of the house and vehicle and in my opinion went down a rabbit hole that diminished the pleasant experience we had anticipated (came into the conversation daily). The Host's recommendations for restaurants, private chef, Heather Lentz (Kentucky Girl Catering) was excellent. Mint Julep Bourbon tour was excellent until we got to the last distillery where they dropped the ball and we had no reservation (that's a review for that company). All-in-all, this house would merit our consideration in future trips of our groups to Louisville. A very roomy place.
I could not recommend staying here more. We had a group of 8 and we all had more than enough room. The house is great, the pool house is great, everything was clean and the hosts walked us through the house to explain everything given the size which was really helpful. The hosts were awesome. Also the pool is really really nice if you come when it is open. The neighborhood is really nice and location convenient.
This was the perfect spot for our family gathering! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. The owners were greatâvery responsive and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. We couldnât have asked for a better stay and would definitely come back again!
We booked this gorgeous home for a long weekend for a family of ten people. My brothers and I wanted to share time with our elderly parents, and we needed a place that was big enough for all of us and close enough to South Carolina that we could drive. This home was a perfect spot to celebrate life and time together. There was plenty of room and the kitchen is fabulous- 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, a large gas stove, coffee bar, etc. There even is an additional dishwasher in the bar area. The house is wonderfully decorated, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we did not even leave the property on Sunday. We used Instacart to get food to the house and just sat around and talked. It was great family fun!The hosts, Lisa and Keith, were there when we arrived to get us acquainted to the property. The house had everything at you could possibly need. My husband and I stayed in the pool house, which is large enough to live in permanently. Just a quick note here- the washing machine and dryer are located in the pool house. This was not a problem for us at all!!!I highly recommend staying in this property if you are visiting the Louisville area and the Bourbon Trail.
Spent four wonderful nights with 10 sorority sisters who flew in from all over the US. The property was perfect for our group, the house is amazing and there were so many spaces indoors and outside for our group to hang out. I highly recommend Stonecote! Keith and Lisa were great hosts.
Fabulous house on a beautiful property. It was a wonderful place to celebrate the matriarch 's birthday - plenty of room for the whole family. And the pool was great!
The owner met us upon our arrival to make sure we understood the workings of the home and made himself available if we needed anything. The home was a beautifully unkept historic home that allowed our family to gather for meals, movies and games. The pool and pool house were so nice to relax and enjoy our summer days. The use of their pool towels was so nice and there were tons of them. The extra refrigerator in the butlers pantry allowed us to chill all of our drinks while keeping the other refrigerator open for our food. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and very accommodating for all our needs. More than ample room for large family or friend gatherings. The setting is in a lovely neighborhood that has the local deer roaming by each night. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it. All of our adult children and their spouses kept commenting how much they enjoyed this house.
Very nice house with lots of character. Kitchen very well equipped for cooking for large group. Pool was amazing. Hosts were communicative, informative and very helpful.
Absolutely gorgeous home that was perfect for our multigenerational family gathering. Plenty of beautifully decorated living spaces for everyone to be together. The pool was a huge hit for adults and kiddos alike - so nice to have the baby pool as an option for our littlest family members. Lisa and Keith were extraordinary hosts. Thank you!
Traveled with 3 families, 2 grandparents, 4 grown adults, 10 children under 11 years. Good selections of sleeping arrangements for this configuration. Appreciated fenced in pool area that youngsters could not visit without adult. Pool house - a wonderful bonus for changing into bathing suits and having shaded area. Interior of main house lovely, historic detail, yet kid friendly (not much they could get into). One downside, near a major highway and traffic noise was a problem in some bedrooms. All in all a good time had by all.
The rental was very comfortable but needed a little going over to repair a few things. But overall, we had a very good time. Excellent neighborhood and plenty of anilities. Excellent pool and enough bedrooms for our family. Owner responded very quickly to all of our questions.
5 Stars â Beautiful, Historic, and Perfectly Located!
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful historic home. It was spacious and very accommodating for our group, with thoughtful touches that made everyone feel comfortable. The location was absolutely fantasticâjust minutes from everything, yet tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. The hosts were incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a unique, convenient, and welcoming place to stay!
This is a beautiful property, very comfortable for large family gatherings. We spent much of our time playing games and cooking dinners together in the well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms and bathrooms were well arranged with plenty of private space for our adult kids and their families. Dining room table easily seated 12 together, and the pool area was a great casual outside gathering space. Nearby Cherokee Park is an easy walk or bike ride.
The property is fabulous! Our group absolutely loved the stay. we liked the property so much that we found ourselves cutting our visits throughout Kentucky short to get back to the house to enjoy the accommodation.
The home was absolutely beautiful, the layout of the bedrooms really allowed our volleyball team families to have personal space but still be together. Wish the weather was warmer for the girls to have enjoyed the fantastic pool on the property. We would certainly stay here again! Thank you for a great trip Keith and Lisa!!!
I hosted a group of employees in town for a large trade show and we could not have been happier with our choice to stay at Stonecote. Everyone was comfortable and had space for privacy, but it was a treat to be able to socialize at the end of every day somewhere besides a crowded restaurant or hotel lobby. Great experience for all and our hosts could not have been more gracious. We will be back next year!
My husband and I rented this house for our large family to attend our sonâs wedding in Louisville. The house was perfect for our family. It was in a beautiful safe, quiet neighborhood surrounded by mansions. The gathering rooms were also large, which was great for hanging out. We did a lot of cooking and grilling at the house which was equipped with everything you would need.
The house is a wonderful place to stay. It is centrally located in the city which makes it easy to get around. In addition to a really nice kitchen, there are gathering areas which accommodate a large group very well. The pool had already been closed but looks like it would be great fun in the summer. I've already recommended it to several of my friends.
The property was beautiful, there was 13 of us staying with plenty of room. The host was available and responded immediately when I needed them. The weather was a bit chilly so we couldn't enjoy the pool. The pool house was nice and located very close to the main house. The location was excellent and within 20 minutes from every where we wanted to visit. I would definitely come back!
