I Had a good time at the Sonesta, clean rooms, stocked fridge a variety of drinks, alcohol and non alcoholic, everything worked but the iron and house keep resolved that quickly. The grounds and resort were clean. The hotel is very close to the airport.

This my second time coming to this resort. The first was in 2021 and I did not have an experience like this. This time around, I booked an upgraded room for my wife’s birthday and was not impressed aside from the the view of the beach. The furniture in the room had stains on them, and mirrors in the room were scratched. The pull out sofa had no linens or spares in the room. The food at this resort was mediocre at best but I urge you to stay away from the Chinese restaurant. We waited in line for at least an hour and was very disappointed with the food here. You can get better frozen Chinese food in a bag from the grocery store that’s reheated in a microwave. What was really disappointing here were the staff. Most of the people who worked here except for the front desk staff and bartenders were not friendly or helpful. They just wanted to exist, but not to be off any assistance to guests of the resort. I felt like I was a burden on them. If you are looking to come to Saint Martin, don’t book this resort. I know this is the only all inclusive resort and it’s at an ideal location but you are better off saving your hard earned money and booking a regular hotel and pay for your food and drinks separately.

This was a horrible experience. The people are not friendly and they food was not good. There was barely anything at the buffets and servers took forever to bring anything to drink. I would never stay here again and I would never recommend this stay to anyone

We were looking for a relaxing trip for the wife’s birthday, and relaxing is what we did. If you’re looking for the party scene this is not it. Check-in was smooth and quick although one lady questioned if our room was ready or not. Another lady confirmed the room was ready and we were off to begin or vacation. We found out right away why the lady questioned if the room was ready. We couldn’t connect to the WiFi for the first 24 hours as we were never setup properly in the system. BTW, we upgraded to the adult section (floors 9 & 10). They got it fixed the next day. The shower had those self-use soaps and shampoos you can use in the shower and one of the containers was broke or just old as the first thing we saw when checking out the bathroom setup was a pile of shampoo on the shower floor. Looking like it was there for a while. So was the room inspected before we arrived? We ignored. After the second day we had the cleaning crew refresh the room. We get back and all of the used towels were taken, but they left no new towels or wash clothes. We called and they had someone bring fresh towels. We ignored. The power went out in the entire resort on our first day for about 20 minutes. Hey, stuff happens. The other vacationers were rather friendly, but the “friendly staff” I heard about at this resort must’ve been on vacation as well. The best part of the trip for us was our day visiting St. Barths and the blue beach water! Beautiful. Rough Ferry ride though.
