I Had a good time at the Sonesta, clean rooms, stocked fridge a variety of drinks, alcohol and non alcoholic, everything worked but the iron and house keep resolved that quickly. The grounds and resort were clean. The hotel is very close to the airport.

Only 2 person didn’t make this a pleasant trip with their unfriendliness and attitude otherwise I really enjoyed myself and I will return. I was greeted well, housekeeping staff and entertainment was great.

Overall the customer service experience was horrible; staffs were rude and impatient. They were a lack of attentivness at the restaurants to order drinks and food. The only bright spot from the customer experience was at the kids club; all of the staffs there was amazing and great with the kids. If the resort can emulate that experience elsewhere on the property, I would have given this hotel a 5 star despite the other short comings I had throughout my stay. On a separate note, the country is beautiful and beaches are amazing!

We went from August 31 to September 6 of 2025 and it was a lot better than we anticipated. The beaches are beyond gorgeous. This hotel is fun. The food is absolutely delicious. Good vibes all around.

The resort was very close to the airport so you could watch the planes land while dining. The food was not bad and it was easy to catch a taxi in to the city. The area also had a lot of things that were walking distance and entertainment on the resort if you decided to stay local.

Very nice resort. Second morning of stay awakened by hammering and other construction at 8am. Our Room Door only opened about 2 1/2 feet. Had to push hard to close and could only use manual jam to lock, regular knob not operational. Neither the curtains or shears closed all the way so morning sun blasted us because they weren’t installed correctly. Left multiple notes, but never fixed.
